This book was by no means bad...I just hate contemporary books. I really did try. The characters are likeable and the references to World of Warcraft and horror films are great...but I just find this genre so incredibly boring. It feels like I'm punishing myself by forcing myself to read it.

If you like contemporary, I'd def get this a shot.

I have a total crush on this book. It's so quirky & fun it has my inner teenager squealing with joy. Seriously though, I really, really enjoyed it. Sam & his friends are nerds...the kind of nerds who get beat up on a regular basis. Then in walks Camilla. She's smart, popular & for some reason seems to like Sam & his friends. This begins an unusual courtship that will have you laughing & shaking your head & crossing your fingers! A wonderful story.

thegirlwiththelibrarybag Thanks, bit of a bummer ruining a signed book 😕especially since a wet book is an easy target for mould - I'll wait and see how it dries and then either put it in plastic or in the recycling bin. thegirlwiththelibrarybag @elkeo, it's not good to risk it... one book with mould can easily turn into a mould ruined library... it'll probably go into the sealed zip lock bag with a book that I spilled tea on... 7y

julesG Here's what I would do: Put that book in a container filled with rice. That should draw out most of the water. Then there are these tiny sachets that come in shoe boxes, etc. They contain a hydrophilous agent. When the book has dried out in the rice, store it in an air tight container with some of those sachets, a few days should do the trick. (Bet you can get some for free at a shoe/clothes/bag/electronics shop.) 7y
