Agatha Raisin and her agency are back with death and disappearances, false identities, and messy love lives. Her stories, though sometimes absolutely bizarre, are a great distraction listen. And hooray that this one is narrated by my favorite of the Agatha Raisin series narrators!

This one was just ok. I feel like there was just way too much going on in the story, and way too many characters, many of whom weren't very developed and didn't really add to the storyline. I wanted to love this because I've heard great things about the Agatha Raisin novels but this just wasn't for me. I think I also expected it to be a lot more Christmas-themed than it actually was.

I‘m giving this a pick because I love Agatha, although this is not on of my favorites. I do so love Charles Fraith & Mrs. Bloxby, and Agatha cracks me up as always! I‘d highly recommend this series on #audiobook - 3.5⭐️

I seriously love my Agatha Raisin! This was an excellent listen for finishing holiday errands. 🎧

I completed the #WinterReadsBingo with this one! That gives me five more bingos and I cleared the board, which means +221 points for this post. Go team!

Today I visited a historic site in Cornwall that had a small secondhand book shop on the property. So of course I had to buy a few! The money goes to the National Trust.

Omg! Somebody needs to send that librarian in these books back to library school and make her learn everything about patron privacy that she clearly didn‘t learn the first time. Obviously that wasn‘t the major plot here, but as a librarian, I notice these things. This book was just okay. I‘m glad, though, that Penelope Keith is back as the narrator. The last one was read by someone I didn‘t like quite as much.

Joanne1 I'm listening to the Hamish Macbeth mysteries by the same author. I love the narrator. Penelope keith would be excellent too I imagine. 6y
KathyWheeler @Joanne1 I read a couple of the Hamish Macbeth books years ago and remember liking them. I think I‘ll listen to one of them next. 6y

I think this is my first Agatha Raisin mystery novel. The murder and mayhem in this small English village reminds me of Midsomer Murders. I think this qualifies as a Christmas Cozy. I‘ll be reading more. An easy read. Read the whole book today.

Nute I‘m just becoming attracted to cozy mysteries. Maybe I should start with this author and this series. Is this the first book? Even when not necessary, I have to read them in order. 6y
Dragon No I think this one is very far along. Looking at the list I think @Nute the story about the quiche is first (edited) 6y
Dragon Just remembered I saw a TV movie of the above tagged book. I like that Agatha is not perfect.😀🐉 6y
