So pleased to have finally finished this book! In my big white bed back at my parents house for the long weekend was the perfect way to read this.
I recommend this book SO much for anyone interested in Roman or Greek literature but not sure where to start, or who wasn‘t able to study it at school. So well written but so comprehensive and easy to understand, it‘s made me understand classics a lot more!
Rainy day reading 😍😍
After getting over my multiple panic attacks yesterday, today I‘ve got an infected cut on my thumb that needs a massive dressing and means I can‘t type without it hurting 😕 would love to have a day where none of me is broken lol
I had no idea what to post for today‘s #readingresolutions until I realised how much the story of classical literature is a journey to me. Both in the sense of the stories told in the stories, and the journey from the west‘s first alphabet to an established written literary canon! It‘s incredible to me that I can lounge about in the bath and read about words that people wrote over 2000 years ago
I have the urge to reread some classics that I probably haven't read since high school (hangs head in shame). So I'm making a list - which piece of classic lit is your fave?
I really wish that I knew about this book when I was in college. It would have made my Classical Literature class way easier. It is written in a way that is very enjoyable and very through.
