so-soFinished my first #newyearwhodis book, which also happened to my #bookspin this month. I like the concept of it a lot, but there were too many POVs for me and not enough stakes to want to continue with the series. Been awhile since I read some fantasy though and it was nice to read against all of my nonfiction.
Book 1 for #joyousjanuary and #slumpathon
First day of #joyousjanuary and day two of #slumpathon features a true winter morning! We woke up to some snow in Indiana, so I‘m cozying up with all my books, coffee, and the Narnia soundtracks in the background. My goal for #joyousjanuary is to read at least 235 pages a day, but I‘m really hoping to finish the tagged and make a good dent in MIDNIGHT IN CHERNOBYL today. Here‘s to a weekend full of books and ZERO interruptions!

Digging into my first #newyearwhodis book from the lovely @jinxmoon while my dinner cooks. Still getting oriented in the world, but I‘m definitely interested to see where it goes!
The kind of Saturday where I sprawl out, don't leave the couch and just listen to music, drink coffee and consume books, manga, and comics all day sprinkled with some random anime episodes. 💯
My older sister and I do not get along, that is the honest truth, there isn‘t a day that goes by when we are not screaming and fighting with one another. She never pays attention to anything I do or take interest in so we spend a lot of time avoiding one another. So the simple fact that she bought me 3 books from my book wishlist for Christmas was a surprise. I can‘t wait to read this trilogy next year!
Back to The Banished Lands. Nothing else is grabbing my attention just now!

If you like world building, battles, good v evil but very grey areas and brilliant characters these are for you!
Read the first series first though - honestly! This is set 100 years after. I don‘t know why Gwynne doesn‘t get the plaudits other fantasy authors get because he is a brilliant writer.
