Cooking Julia Child‘s beef stew on this cold night. Both cookbooks are well used in this household. The pictures in The Way to Cook make my mouth water… Mastering the Art of French Cooking is my husband‘s 50 year old copy (1973)

The tagged book is one we use often in our house. For the most part my husband cooks(I can smell chicken as I write this) but I make a version of beef stew from this cookbook combined with tips from my mom. It‘s comfort food- a soothing winter dish. I do not bake at all!
Grateful for:
1) my husband‘s yummy cooking
2) my son cooks too
3) certain foods that evoke my mom.

SamAnne I was introduced to Julia Child via Dan Ackroyd on SNL as a small child (yes my parents let me watch SNL starting as very young child. Now I appreciate her for her cooking. And wine drinking! 3y
