⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oh, Louisa Clark, your quirkiness & big heart are just what I needed! Admittedly, I was miffed when Moyes wrote a sequel to the thought-provoking Me Before You. I didn‘t think it was needed. Read After You & was underwhelmed. So, I wasn‘t going to read this third installment, but I‘m happy I did. In NYC for temporary work, Louisa continues her path of self discovery. She befriends several unique individuals. It‘s really a lovely story.

marleed Agree with everything you wrote! 1mo
SexyCajun Omg this series played with my heart and just omg 😱 1mo

Ncostell I felt the same way. Loved the first book, was disappointed by the second book and was surprised how much I enjoyed the third book which I almost didn‘t want to read! 1mo
britt_brooke @SexyCajun Now, I‘m kind of sad it‘s over. 1mo
britt_brooke @marleed @Ncostell I‘m glad it‘s not just me! The second book was really frustrating. I thought it was forced, blatant capitalization on the first one‘s success. The third one really made up for that. I‘m kind of sad the series is over now. I love Louisa. 💚 1mo
marleed I was late to the GOT series. I watched the movie after I read the first 2 books. It wasn‘t until last August when I realized Louisa and Daenyrs are one and the same actress! 1mo
SexyCajun @britt_brooke I feel silly to admit this but I actually accidently read the third book before reading one and two🤣🤣 I actually LOVED all three tho 1mo
britt_brooke @SexyCajun 😆 I love that! I might feel differently if I went back to the second book now. 1mo
britt_brooke @marleed Yep! It‘s wild how different she looks in each one. 1mo
Autumnscribe Looking forward to reading it now. After the second book I was ready to walk away from the series. Thanks. 1mo
britt_brooke @Autumnscribe I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Hope you‘ll enjoy, too! 1mo
Reviewsbylola I didn‘t read this for the very same reason. The second book was so unnecessary. 1mo

I hate reading a book only to realise halfway through that it is part of a series and it's like the last one 😭 Now i feel obliged to wait until i have the other books in the series and start from the very beginning how the author intended it to be! 😩
Sorry JoJo! The part of 'Still me' i read was fantastic, but i can't carry on until I've purchased and read the first two in the collection 😞

brit91 I haven't read the rest of the series but I loved Me Before You so much! But just to let you know you will probably cry it's very touching and heartbreaking.💖 1mo
Clutterbucks_Queen I've heard it's heartbreaking ... 😭 1mo
Clutterbucks_Queen Have you seen the film? Is it anything like the book ? Xx 1mo
marleed I did that with Crazy Rich Asians. Now I see the books together all the time - cracks me up now. I do love the Me Before You trilogy. 1mo

I love how honest Louisa's voice is. While I loved book one (and was so-so about book two), the events in book three felt a lot more relatable. I think every emotion Lou had in regards to relationships in this book I have also had. Nice ending to the series and definitely threw me a couple of things I didn't see coming.

My public library is having its biggest book sale of the year so my personal library shelves just gained a significant amount of weight. I was missing the 3rd book of this series and that was just wrong - problem solved for 2 bucks!

Day27 of #RiotGrams with #DisabilityInBooks @BookRiot

BooknerdsLife These book covers are so pretty! Especially when put together 😍😍And what a bargain!!! 😱💖 2mo
marleed @BooknerdsLife I was so exited. And it‘s in mint condition aside from the library tag which I think is funny anyway. ...This was my first time at that library sale. I was amazed by the number of mint condition books, and the paperbacks were $1. People came with rolling suitcases! 2mo
BooknerdsLife @marleed Wow! $1 ?? 😱 and in mint condition? I‘d be going with my suitcase too! 😂 2mo
marleed @BooknerdsLife and some in bulk. There must have been 50+ Pb copies of One Day in December. I seriously thought of getting half of them to donate to a classroom but decided it was likely not required reading for classroom discussion. 2mo
BooknerdsLife Oh! That‘s a lot of copy!!! Wonder if it was a donation to the library ? Hahaaa I doubt it would be a required reading but it sure sounds more fun😆 2mo

You‘ve got to love the books that have you excited to finish but sad to be done. This series is light, fun, and full of feels.

Birdsong28 I am going through this with I heart Hawaii as it's the last in a series that is so good but I know it's needing to end but at the same time I don't want to finish the book as the series will end 😔 I know I can reread but it won't be the same as reading it for the first time. 2mo
Blh87 @Birdsong28 that‘s EXACTLY how I felt. It still has me feeling good hours after finishing, though!🤗 2mo

I‘m not good at these things, but I‘ll play!

1) I got to spend time at home in ND with my family.
2) The Harry Potter series...it legitimately never gets old.
3) St. Louis Blues
4) Frankenstein...there weren‘t many required reading books that I actually liked, but this one was great.

This would make for a good book club read, I think. Louisa Clark is such a fun character, and it's nice to see her find her way in NYC. ...in contrast, the rest of the characters are a bit too one note for me, which requires more suspension of disbelief than they warranted. This is nit-picky, but there's a letter written from an American character that is written in a VERY British voice - see picture above. It kind of snapped me out of the story.

Loved this! Not as much as the first one but definitely more than the second one.

Buechersuechtling Oh. So, let me guess: this is the third one? And well, if you liked it, and because you didn‘t like the second very much (which I didn‘t, either) maybe, I should give it a try – which I at first didn‘t want to when I heard that there is a third one to come … 🤷🏽‍♀️Just because it seems our opinions match. 6mo

So right here is why Louisa Clark's story is one of my top favourites.
I relate to Lou's life on so many levels, her past, her personality and character.
Because in those lines she described me, i felt she was talking about me!
Whenever she talks about her feelings i felt her so personally.
That's why i took her story personally, her ups and downs in life her succes and failure everything is so special to me.
Thank you Jojo Moyes for this.

I really enjoyed this next installment in the story of Louisa Clark. This time, she‘s living in New York for a year and practicing saying yes to new experiences. She learns over time that saying yes to oneself also means saying no to what isn‘t right for oneself. There was lots of good fun in this book, and I found myself cheering Louisa on. My only irritation with the #audiobook was the terrible attempts at the American accent! 🙄

After waiting more than 3 months on the hold list at the library, I was so excited to read the next part of Louisa's story. Her relationship to everyone was beautiful, especially Margot and Dean Martin! I felt like Louisa grew up in this book and just had fewer clumsy accidents like in the previous two novels.

I loved ´Me Before You‘ and I found the next in the series to be a little disappointing, a good book but nowhere near as good as the first so I wasn‘t sure what to think going into this one. Glad to say I was pleasantly surprised, I enjoyed being back in Louisa‘s world. Loved the setting of New York and while there were parts of the story I didn‘t love and found too far fetched, overall I really enjoyed it! A nice read for fans of ‘Me Before You‘.
