I really enjoyed this book, both lead characters were really likeable and you rooted for them for the start.
If I‘m honest, the book was not what I thought it was going to be, I thought it would be mainly about the 8 hours but it wasn‘t, that was a small part of the story.
The way the author managed to entangle Noelle and Sam lives and history was brilliant and I hadn‘t seen the twist at the end coming.

I enjoyed this book, I found it quite hard to put down because I knew there was a secret I just didn‘t know what the secret was and so I had to keep reading to find it out. I wish there had been more story after the secret came out.
This was my least favourite of the Smythe-Smith quartet, however I did enjoy that it took on a different format & that there was more of the start of their marriage that you don‘t normally get in a Julia Quinn book.

The Sum of All Kisses | Julia Quinn

I loved this book!!
Unlike most Julia Quinn books we didn‘t have a lot of pretence that they didn‘t like each other after they realised they liked each other which was lovely. I really loved getting to know both of these characters so much better as they both played parts in the previous two books.
Also very funny that part of the book was in Thatcham and at the White Heart - where I live and a pub I‘ve recently been to!

A Night Like This | Julia Quinn

I loved this just as much as the first. It was great that this book started where the previous book finished and so both Anne and Daniel were already known characters. I found myself unable to put the book down.
There were quite a few moment that I really did laugh out loud at this book, especially the play and I enjoyed getting to know both characters back stories better.
I loved both of the main characters and really believed their love story

I absolutely loved this book!
After reading the Bridgerton and Bridgerton prequels one after the other last year I wanted a break before I read another Julia Quinn book & I‘m so glad I went back to them & read this book.
I really liked both the lead characters, & loved their love story. I was really shocked & a little queasy in the middle when Marcus became very ill, not at all what I expected from a love story!
Can‘t wait to read the next one!

I struggled to get into this book. To start off with I struggled to warm to either of the lead characters straight away, I really had to get into the story before I started to warm to them however, in the end I did warm to them & became invested in their love story.
Sacha‘s family, Nadia, Raph & Joseph all seemed lovely & welcoming & I loved the sound of their Christmas Eve. In the end, the final few chapters I grew to like Ren‘s grandmother too.

The One After the One | Cass Lester

Really enjoyed this book even if I could see how a couple of the plots were going to go. I love the friendships between Charlie and Pam, Charlie and her friends and Pam and Zee so much, they seem so genuine and relatable. I guess the plot was a little predictable however that is because I often read this genre of books. I really hope there will be a third book in the series.

I really enjoyed this book. Although there is a love story in there it isn‘t the main part of the plot. I loved the relationship between Charlie and Pam and although Pam was going through her own trouble and her own grief she knew what to say to Charlie at all the right moments. Although the plots were all very heavy and emotional, it was handled in such a way that there was just enough humour to keep it light.

It was really nice to continue the story with Zara, Ashley, Raj and surprisingly Tom too. I found the first half of the book quite hard to read, the behaviour was really slutty and some of the language was pretty bad. However the second half of the book when it was more about the subtle flirting and Zara throwing herself into her job was much better. I would definitely read another story about Zara and friends!

The perfect amount of love, heartbreak, positivity and despair, a proper chic-flick and my usual sort of book. Looking forward to reading the second book now

Hope is the perfect title for this book. Even though this book is the life story of a man who knew he was dyeing as he wrote it, there is so much hope in the book. His attitude to situation he was in was incredible and can only be commended. I was surprised that I didn‘t cry all the way through, but it wasn‘t that sort of book, it wasn‘t a pity party and so I‘m that way, it was just written as an autobiography like any other autobiography you read

Farewell to the East End | Jennifer Worth

I enjoyed this book far far more than Shadows of the Workhouse. Again, I was really surprised to realise that some of the stories, like Megan‘mave, that I know from the tv show are real stories. I feel quite sad to be at the end of this trilogy now which I didn‘t think I would be after struggling through the second book.

Shadows of the Workhouse | Jennifer Worth

I found the first part of this book quite hard work to read which coincidentally is the part about the workhouse. I found the second and third parts about sister Monica-Joan and Mr Collett much better and read these parts much quicker. It‘s awful to think that all of it was true and happened in the last 100-120 years. Again it was amazing to see so much of the tv was true!

I love watching Call the Midwife and so I thought I would give this book a go to see how it differed. I was so shocked at how much of the book had been put into the show and I was even more shocked that parts of the show were real. Parts were hard to read, because knowing that it is her account of life as a Midwife in the East End it made the hardship they were going through more awful than it would have been had it been fiction.

I loved this! I was surprised by how funny Draco Malfoy was and how down to earth he still seems to be. His family all come across as lovely too, both his muggle and his magical families! I was really shocked and moved by the ending and honest he was about his struggle with alcohol and with rehab.

I absolutely loved this book! Sam and Roman were sort of characters you would love to know in real life. My only complaint was that it was over too soon!

I really enjoyed this book. The 2 main characters were both really likeable however I wanted more of their story. I didn‘t feel the chapters written from Connie‘s perspective were necessary to the story and could almost have been a book of their own

Quite literally a book of 2 halves. The first half is there to set the scene & give some back story. Although it does do this, I actually almost gave up on this book before I got to part 2, part 1 went on for too long. The second part I was hooked and couldn‘t put it down. It was fairly fast passed and I really enjoyed it. However the blurb mentions a fire which was far less important that I thought & I was waiting for it‘s significance

I really enjoyed this book. It is so weird to think that couples really would have had to marry to avoid a scandal. I really loved these characters

I found this book really frustrating, I really just wanted Andrew to tell Poppy who he was. I was worried the book was going to end badly and was so happy when they got their happily ever after

It took me a while to get into this book and I‘m not really sure why but once I had I couldn‘t put it down. I really liked the main characters and I did find myself really rooting for them as a couple. Overall I really liked it

I loved it! I loved the characters in this and it was really nice reading a Bridgerton story that I didn‘t already have ideas of who the characters were and what they were like. I enjoyed the story and felt really invested in the characters and I was so pleased with the ending

It was so lovely to be able to read more about all of the Bridgerton characters and to read a little about Violet and Edmund. Really gutted I‘ve come to the end of these books now

I really enjoyed this book. I loved all the twists and turns and it really kept me gripped. Although the outcome was fairly obvious due to the writing style, for so much of the book I couldn‘t see it coming. I absolutely loved how it ended!

When He Was Wicked | Julia Quinn
Pickpick

I really enjoyed this book, with Francesca not being in the series it felt for the first time like I was reading the book and learning about both characters rather than already having ideas of what the bridgerton character was like. I felt like this story could so easily translate into the modern day in a way the previous books definitely couldn‘t have done and I really enjoyed the moments of passion in this book!

I‘m so glad this book seemed to start at the beginning of the book rather than half way through. I really loved these two as a couple. My only complaint was that because Eloise ran off before Penelope‘s big reveal in the previous book, we didn‘t get to see her reaction to it and when he brothers arrived to see her none of them thought to tell her either! I loved both characters arcs, and they are both better for being together!

Probably my least favourite of the Bridgerton books so far but mainly because it seem to take so long to really get into it, once I was over the half way point of the book I then couldn‘t put it down, it just had a really slow build up. Having watched the series I already knew what the big reveal would be however the way it happened was brilliant. I completely fell in love with both Colin and Penelope and so glad they got their happy ending!

I loved it. It was not as fast paced as the Duke and I which made it fairly frustrating in places, I just wanted to bang their heads together. I really loved Anthony‘s character arc, it was very similar to Simons which showed why the two were such close friends before Simon and Daphne married.

I loved it! Couldn‘t put it down. So different to the show, a lot less characters for a start. I felt the book moved at a faster pace and I thought it was great how well we really understood what was happening with daphne and Simon. Can‘t wait to read the next book!

Still Me | Jojo Moyes
Pickpick

Probably my least favourite of the three books but that‘s probably more to do with my frustrations with the character than the writing. However knowing this is the final book in a trilogy is really annoying because I really really want to know what is going to happen next. I am glad that Louisa stayed true to herself and that she did finally end up with the man of her dreams.
