Ask Again, Yes: A Novel | Mary Beth Keane
Pickpick

I found myself unable to stop reading and finished in 6 days. The story follows two families after a shocking tragedy. The development of the characters makes you love them and hate them depending on the scene. It was beautifully written in my opinion. I wish more was placed to signify some time passing instead of jumping time periods the way it did. Otherwise good read.

Great book. Nice built up all the way to the end. Some parts left me wanting more but didn't take away from the story overall.

I began reading this a few years ago but was privileged to pick it back up recently. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end on my commute to work. The development of characters especially Faina makes you believe you're there inside the story. I would recommend this book for anyone who enjoys historical fiction.

Can't wait to start! Saw it and read the synopsis this morning and knew I had to have it. Plan is to read a chapter before bed. 🤓

I primarily read this via audiobook. I enjoyed the ad-libs the author added. I wholeheartedly enjoyed Phoebe's essays but I felt it fell a little short compared to her first book. I had an easier time relating to her first book than this one. With listening to Everything Is Trash, But it's Okay, I had some good laughs. I would still recommend.

I gravitated towards the story waiting for it to unfold but as it kept going it fell flat. I was disappointed at the end of the book and continue to feel it was left undone. I still have so many questions unanswered.

I'm glad I finally finished this book. It has been a long time that I read a book and it made me rethink life entirely. So far this year, this is one of those books that managed to make me appreciate my life.

JoJo Moyes painted a picture as if you were there of a budding love story of oneself. Louisa a lost girl and Will a broken spirit, you watch something magical form for the two of them.

If no one read this book, I recommend reading it.
