My #TherapeuticThursday was spent at the orthopedic office (my leg is healing, but I have significant ligament damage to my ankle - which ... I mean... pain - so I guessed it). Anyway, Today #FillYourCupFriday. I am going to continue to take it easy (especially since it snowed yesterday), just got back from PT and having a PCP and Therapy appointment via zoom soon. What are y'all doing to “fill your cup“?

#SelfCareIsNotSelfish

ShelleyBooksie Boo on the ligament damage!!! 2mo

The Grafton novels have long been my palate cleanser or “get out of a slump” books. But I wanted to make a little progress in all of my in progress series for #serieslove23 when I put together my #14boooks14weeks list. But digging into this one after it having been a few years since Q, I remember why I love them. Good character development, fas clear prose, and story lines that hook early and carry the reader along. #dogsoflitsy

TheHeartlandBookFairy Oohhh, I loved that series! 11mo

I finally made my way to the letter R! Kinsey is hired by a wealthy, elderly father to pick up his daughter from prison and help her get acclimated to society. Seems like an easy task…until Reba, her new charge, reunites with a person she knew before her incarceration. The story unravels and escalates as Kinsey gets involuntarily involved in Reba‘s antics and events turn dangerous. #MountTBR

I loved this title in the series. This is one of my two favorites in the series. The story is intricate and fascinating. It goes into detail about life in a women‘s prison and then into a major mall/office complex of an unusual architectural design.

Mehso-so

It has been a long time since I read a Kinsey Millhone mystery - enjoyed remembering some of the characters from the series although this is not as strong a story as others that I have read by Sue Grafton.

Decent enough but the internalised misogyny is so tiring.

Just a little #BookHaul of both #HumbleBundle book bundles. I've not read huge amounts of sci-fi so this is a great excuse to buy more and support charities at the same time. Back to the reading...

#rorygilmorereadinglist no.80. This is a terrible book. Out of date, bad attitudes to women, cringeworthy sex scenes and I have no idea what it has to do with the word ricochet. What was Rory Gilmour thinking????? Avoid.

Why am I reading about the calorific content of egg mcmuffins when it has absolutely no relevance to the story? What is the point? What?? I have sooooo many opinions about this book.....

geodynamical_nonfiction Shinny? Is that like shimmy? Sounds like she wants to "glomp" him. Yay for new words! ? 7y
kirriemummy Oh but it got worse. There was a sexy haircutting scene which I read whilst on the bus home. Definitely a mistake.... 7y

OMG get to the point!!! How is it possible to describe a drive as boring and then spend the next page telling people what turnoff you take to get to the next junction? It's like a literary Garmin!!! Aarrrgh!

"Odd, the memories that linger long after the person is gone." This series is definitely a pallet cleanser for me. They are always fun and entertaining but don't make me stretch my mind too much.

I don't read in bed much, because I always fall asleep. I chose the Sue Grafton book, as it was my "bedtime book" that took me 2 years to read because I only made it a few pages at a time. #reading in bed #photoadaynov16

Susanita Yeah I haven't been so keen on reading in bed since the time I nodded off and dropped the Kindle on my nose. 7y
Suzze @Susanita 😜😜😜 7y
Bostonmomx2 Lol that's funny. I do more reading in bed I think than anywhere else. It's so comfy. 7y
