The 900 Days
The 900 Days: The Siege Of Leningrad | Harrison Salisbury
2 posts | 3 read | 6 to read
The Nazi siege of Leningrad from 1941 to 1944 was one of the most gruesome episodes of World War II. Nearly three million people endured it; just under half of them died. For twenty-five years the distinguished journalist and historian Harrison Salisbury pieced together this remarkable narrative of villainy and survival, in which the city had much to fear-from both Hitler and Stalin.

It was a slow start on litsy for me. I just didn't get it. I've learned to navigate and as I've come to realize, 900 litfluence is nbd, but to me it feels like an accomplishment. I like the #thisorthat and #friYAYintro and #favoritefiveprediction type posts, but my absolute favourite part of litsy is to be able to look back at what I've read and track my #TBR. Connecting with fellow littens is pretty awesome too!

mrozzz Definitely a big deal! Congrats 😊 7y

#junebookbugs. It has been many years since I read this, but it left an indelible impression. So much #death, so much horror, and yet so much resilience.
