TODAY‘S PROMPT: LIBRARY VS. BOOKSTORE

I prefer to support my library, but I LOVE browsing in a bookstore.

What about you?

BookishMe A bookstore is a paradise BUT the library has 'FREE' books! 😍😍 6y
Kaye I‘m on a teeter-totter with this one, always changing my mind. Love my libraries. Great to be able to get all the free books I could ever want. But then there‘s the waiting list if there‘s a book you are really excited about. Then I think about the price of kindle books. They are convenient to get, but the price is steep if you polish off a book in a day or two. I like the theory of used books, for price and ability to read whenever. On the fence (edited) 6y
Jerdencon I love my library...I hardly ever reread books and so if I buy them they just sit around until I donate them. I live in an apt and have no room to store them so libraries totally work for me! 6y

Chelsea.Poole The Library ♥️ there‘s no bookstore in my county. I‘d have to drive at least 30 minutes to get to one. Plus, our libraries are amazing 😍 6y
SilversReviews @BookishMe EXACTLY...FREE is the way to go. 😍 6y
SilversReviews @Kaye Great answer, Kaye. Good points. 6y
SilversReviews @Jerdencon I never re-read books. Too many other good ones out there to read for the first time. 😍 6y
SilversReviews @Chelsea.Poole Sounds wonderful. Our libraries are excellent too. 6y
Andrew65 I too love to support the libraries, we don‘t want to lose them and as has been said Free books, what‘s not to love about free books! 😍😍😍 Not many good bookstores locally so unfortunately not a great option. I do visit some as I tour the country though. I like the treasure hunt searches in Charity / Thrift Stores. Nothing beats locating a book you want in those! Or trying a new author from a charity shop. 😁 (edited) 6y
Andrew65 @SilversReviews @Jerdencon I very rarely reread books, we tend to only keep our very favourite books, have enough problems showcasing and storing all the books we haven‘t read not to pass on books once my wife and I have both read them. Then they usually get passed onto friends, charity shops or caravan sites that allow swaps. 6y
SilversReviews @Andrew65 Definitely do not want to lose our libraries. FREE is the best. We only have ONE bookstore close to me and that one is 40 minutes away. The library is two minutes away. 😍 6y
SilversReviews @Andrew65 I have given tons of books to our hospital‘s library. I keep my favorites too, but the rest get shared. 😍 6y
tournevis The answer is yes. 6y
swatreads I used to buy books until now but my shelves are full and buying more books will only clutter my apartment unless I give away some! So anymore I just want to get books from my local library or just go for ebooks! 6y
SilversReviews @swatreads I like Overdrive for the e-books, but the library is the best. 😍 6y
Andrew65 @SilversReviews I think I have at least 10 libraries or branch libraries closer than a decent bookstore. I wish they could look at the hours so more accessible to full time workers. I do use their e-libraries a lot too. 6y
Andrew65 @SilversReviews That‘s a good idea (hospital). 6y
SilversReviews @Andrew65 We have four local libraries, but they are open at odd hours, and they switch off so you have to look at the schedule to see which one is open. 😍 (edited) 6y
Christy2318 Library. Budgetary and space reasons plus I‘m not much for re-reading. 6y
SilversReviews @Andrew65 Oh yes....our hospital has a HUGE lending library. I actually allow the patients to keep the books they take out. 6y
Redwritinghood I love to go to the bookstore but that usually results in buying, so I try to keep to the library instead. 6y
mrp27 I love both and frequent both. 6y
ElisabethRose I usually go to the bookstore but I am interning at my local library this summer! 6y
SilversReviews @ElisabethRose How fun!! Enjoy your internship. 6y

EllieDottie I've read all the light we cannot see and ordinary grace! I really like both, but I liked Ordinary Grace a little more! If you are looking for something a little more fast paced then light is a better choice!! 7y
