Barbarian Alien: A Scifi Alien Romance
Barbarian Alien: A Scifi Alien Romance | Ruby Dixon
21 posts | 44 read | 3 to read
Twelve humans are left stranded on a wintry alien planet. I'm one of them. Yay, me. In order to survive, we have to take on a symbiont that wants to rewire our bodies to live in this brutal place. I like to call it a cootie. And my cootie's a jerk, because it also thinks I'm the mate to the biggest, surliest alien of the group. -- This edition of BARBARIAN ALIEN is the complete story. BARBARIAN ALIEN is a sequel to ICE PLANET BARBARIANS. You do not have to read both in order to understand the plot, but the story will be richer if you do!

First book on my TBR for #galaxyathon!

TLuvs 3.5 Stars, super funny whit and sarcasm from FL, an easy ready and lite filler, don't know how or why but these IPB books are just under my skin and I have to keep reading them! 14mo

Sometimes you want to escape from our troubled planet and enjoy a hot 🔥 tryst with a big blue alien. This series is funny and sexy. I enjoy the audiobook format but headphones are a must. Hoopla has most of the audiobooks and I‘m starting a relisten. This is book 2 . 💙

Bookzombie I have been wondering about these on audio. I may have to give the first one a try. 🙂 2y
Dragon @Bookzombie I like that there‘s a female and a male narrator 💚🐉 2y

So yeah I read the second one.. was it problematic? Yep. Was entertaining? Also yes. Again my biggest complaint is this stupid cover...They're on a frozen planet wasteland and she has perfectly painted nails and a lingerie top 🤣

Book 2 in the Ice Planet Barbarian series. Follows Liz and Raahosh‘s story. Just as spicy as the first book. I liked how Liz‘s trauma was a central part of the story. After everything they all went through it would have been a waste to not address the trauma in some way in this series. Will be reading more in this series.

I think characters were great, at least I liked them even more than the characters of the first installment. Raahosh felt himself being an outsider and when there was a twist at the end I noticed how much I liked him and felt for him.

Again really hilarious read, I had fun time with this book.

And the saga continues! 💜❄️🏹 I know this one gets mixed reviews because of Raahosh and how possessive he is but I really liked him and Liz‘s dynamic. Im officially not reading these as a joke anymore 🤦🏻‍♀️ what is happening to me
⭐️⭐️⭐️

DinoMom I totally started these as a joke and now am also no longer reading them as a joke. Just starting the holiday one. 2y
Shievad I read the first one for a book club not expecting to like it much but I did. Then I read the second so I could read the novella at the back of the special edition for the first since the novella takes place after the events of the second book. Now I can‘t stop reading them 😂😂 2y

It stopped raining so I took Peri on a walk. I started a re-read of the Ice Planet Barbarians series in audiobook form while driving back from Minnesota last week. I'm now on the 2nd book. #audiowalk

Once again, fun for a stressful week. I found this one a bit more steamy than the first one and had a bit more to the story and world building.

Well this was fun! I liked that we were able to skip all the abducted by little green men stuff and get right to the sexy aliens. I like the world-building, and I‘m getting the next one now!

And don‘t forget an awesome epilogue for Liz and Raahosh ❤️ His backstory and surliness makes him my favorite type of hero (even when he‘s blue and has a tail). Tried explaining this to my husband when he asked what I was reading and got this face 🙄

I don't work until noon, so I took Peri on a walk while listening to the 2nd episode of the Ice Planet Podcast. I'm not re-reading the books, so it's fun listening to them talk about things I had completely forgotten about the book.

A steamy read, even if I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the first in the series. I thought the characters went from hatred to insta-love a little too abruptly, but I really appreciated how the female MC addressed tropes involving consent (or lack thereof) commonly found in romance and erotica. I plan to reach for the next book the next time I need some fluff.

Books88 Oh my gosh this guy 😂 6y
2BR02B @AJBowers he's definitely a fan of this book series. 😉 6y
Books88 Hahahaha definitely. 6y

Not even the ridiculous kept me awake until the end of #readathon. I dozed off somewhere around the 2 hr left to go mark. I read 4 books, had lots of interruptions, & I slept 4 hrs not counting the thunderstorm that woke me up. I‘ll read some today but I also need to do chores. I foresee zoning out to something in my DVR later today.

Starting my first read of April. I need something a little silly, so back to this sci-fi romance series. #currentlyreading #romantsy

AmandaMarie I've read some alien romance books and enjoyed them but I haven't read anything by Ruby Dixon. I'll definitely have to check her books out! 7y
Shaila I read her Fire in His Blood and enjoyed it. It's alien dragon shifters and I loved how they didn't speak the same language for a while & still needed to communicate. Loved how she handled that. 7y
candyflossramparts Just read this one! I totally didn't think I'd like this series at all - but it's super silly and fun (which I need right now). 7y
