Pickpick

I haven't felt well for a couple of weeks so I haven't managed to do any reading. I have enjoyed some audiobooks like this devotional by Sarah Young. It has been so comforting and I highly reccomend it.

Enjoying some time alone with my Bible, my devotionals, and ACOWAR! :)

Laura317 I have that same Bible. ❤️❤️❤️ 7y
krismac @Laura317 I love it! It was a Christmas present from my husband! 7y
Bks4Wrms @krismac @laura17 I like the looks of that Bible, what version is it? 7y

Bks4Wrms Thanks! 7y
Laura317 @Bks4Wrms I got mine about a month ago. The best part is that you can color and journal - even if you aren't artistic. (And I am not artistic at all) 7y
Bks4Wrms @Laura317 Thanks for the info! 7y

Went to the new BN with kitchen today to get my mom's Christmas gift and I do NOT like it. Second time and I haven't warmed to it. Bookstores should be inviting. This is sparse, white, and impersonal. 👎

Pemberley I agree... it looks like a warehouse. That's not particularly inviting at all! 7y
JanuarieTimewalker13 I agree, cold and uninviting. 7y
rabbitprincess It looks unfinished! 7y

brilliantglow It looks like a warehouse sale. What the heck were they thinking when they decided this was a good design. 7y
annahenke @rabbitprincess Agreed. However, this is the final design. It's been open for weeks. Such a terrible presentation. 7y
Lynnsoprano Really does look like a warehouse. I don't see anything that would make me want to linger. Of course, I've never forgiven them for removing the chairs. 7y
Reviewsbylola I agree, looks like a warehouse. 7y
saresmoore Yep, thought this was Costco at first glance. 7y
Nonaroo Nope! That does not look inviting at all. 7y
Blueberry Alot of cement. 7y
jes 😯 7y
rubyslippersreads I thought it was one of those temporary discount bookstores that takes over a warehouse. 🙀 7y
Suzze I saw the picture and knew from the octagon table that it was a B&N. Then I thought, what kind of B&N is this? I wondered if they had opened a warehouse outlet. If I worked there I think I'd be cold all the time. 7y
OrangeMooseReads I would have a difficult time shopping there. I have a difficult time in most B&N stores though. They aren't for browsing and discovering. 7y
ScrappyMags Agreed! It needs warmth and cushions and all that. Boo! 7y
CocoReads Well that's disappointing. 7y
mjdowens It just looks like a warehouse with book stands. Yuck 7y
TheLibrarian I don't like this either. Looks so uninviting. 7y
LauraBeth This looks horrible 7y
Buddys_Momma Ugly 7y
haileybean No. 😔 7y
Scurvygirl I gave up on B&N awhile ago. I always kind of know what I'm looking for when I went in and they never had it. This looks very uninviting. 7y
annahenke @Lynnsoprano They did put some chairs back in, but who would want to sit in there?! 7y
Librariana It looks cold... all that cement and exposed pipes... it's not warm and cozy! 7y
Librariana Too industrial looking! (Forgot to add that earlier!) 7y
MyNamesParadise Oh goodness that doesn't make me want to look around!! 7y
Mc_cart_ny That's weird, I agree it looks like a Costco! Too noisy and cold and uncomfortable to spend any real time there. 7y
Zelma Yuck! That is horrendous! Whoever thought this was a good design for a bookstore should be fired. It really looks like a temporary space while they finish building the real one; I realize this is the finished space - so, so awful! 7y
MelissaS Where is this? Bookstores should be warm and cozy! B&N should know better 7y
annahenke @MelissaS Minneapolis. It's one of the two BNs in the country where they've tried the new design with restaurant included. 7y
Nebklvr So they have to make it look like a warehouse because it has a restaurant? 7y
Faibka Oh no this just looks awful. How disappointing 😐 7y
jessdean 😬😳👎🏽 7y
MariaC My local B&N is like this too, with the new design and restaurant. There are tables in some of the sections and chairs in others, but definitely not enough seating. The whole place seems kind of sparse, too open and bright for a bookstore. 7y
Posemn Well. No. 7y
SheReadsAndWrites We have a new one opening Tuesday right by my house - I'm beyond excited!! But I hear you-the one about 30 min from me is dark and kind of gloomy. I'm not a fan. 🙁 7y
Arbol It may be just the pic but it looks too dark. I don't know how they managed to have awful flouro lighting and still be dark. I avoid B & N because it seems like the company doesn't actually like books or atleast know anything about anything about them or the people who do. Which translates from the top down to the bottom. This is just another example of that. 7y
Aninfinitelife the ones near me are always so cozy I find. they have chairs everywhere and Starbucks. that sucks that this one isn't like that 7y
