I have some very creative and artistic Kindergarten students this year!!

In this story, poor Gerald the Giraffe just can‘t dance! All the other jungle animals seem to have great moves. Why can‘t he dance like them?

Young readers learn you just need to find the music that‘s right for you! Very sweet, and I love reading this aloud and interacting with my class for this one.

Giraffes Can‘t Dance by Giles Andreae is a MF that I would use as RA in the classroom, especially if I was having any bullying issues. The story is about a giraffe that can‘t dance, and all of the other animals make fun of him, until he figures out that he can dance! This has always been my favorite book growing up.

This book has ways been my favorite book growing up. The rhythm of the words and vibrant pictures keep the audience engaged and excited to read. The message is absolutely beautiful and it represents the importance of individuality. This book would be wonderful to read to an early childhood classroom to talk about individuality and bullying in a safe, organic way.

This has quite an intricate plot for a board book and it kept Jace‘s attention the entire time (no easy feat right before nap time!). It also teaches a good lesson to just be yourself and do your thing. Love this, it‘s going on Jace‘s wishlist. 5⭐️

Fluffy the giraffe

My son and I listened to this book through Epic and we both absolutely love it. Now we want a copy! Its a nice book about individuality.

This NYT best seller and modern fantasy (F) by Giles Andrea is about a giraffe that thinks he cannot dance because he doesn‘t dance like the other animals. Gerald was a tall giraffe who‘s neck and legs were very long. The animals made fun of him but he didn‘t care. He leapt in the air! A sweet rhyming story about accepting our differences. #UCFLAE3414SP18

Giraffes Can‘t Dance is MF F about Gerald the giraffe that longs to dance, but his legs are too skinny, and his neck is too long. Giraffes can‘t Dance is a children‘s fiction book written by Giles Andreae about a giraffe named Gerald who decides to go to the Jungle Dance, but once he steps on the dance floor, the other animals laugh at him. Gerald is comfortable to dance after talking to a cricket who believes in him. I like this children‘s book because it has a good moral to it but still entertaining. #UCFWaltersLit -fiction

We were chuckling at the giraffe leaning in for a drink at the zoo today - and all I can think of is Giraffes Can't Dance! They're such funny, ungainly creatures!

This cute fiction picture book by Giles Andreae and illustrated by Guy Parker Rees is a great addition to any elementary class room library. It is a great book to use for a growth mindset lesson. It teaches children the power of the word "yet". Reading some of Kaysen's new books to her before bed, and I have to say I LOVE this quote! Although she did not like this as much as "Are you my Mother?", that is mostly because Mommy can do better sound effects with latter. I think she will really enjoy this one when she is a little bit older. Great book with wonderful lessons in it. ??

Another standby for Little's nightly read. One of three for tonight. A great nod to individuality and dancing to the beat of your own drummer (or tiny violinist).

Our current favorite book. Great illustrations, sweet story about how it's okay to dance to your own beat, solid rhymes. Makes her giggle every time.

Another one of my favorite children's books. The story of Gerald the Giraffe who was mocked for not dancing like the rest of the animals. He goes on to find his own music and dance his own way. I tear up every time I read, "sometimes when you're different, you just need a different song". Rock on..
