Another from my TBR. Frankly, I had forgotten about this until I was looking for one to fit the prompt. It won the Pulitzer in 1930.

Eggs Sounds so good 🥰👍🏼📚 3y

Pickpick

As an indigenous Navajo, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. A fictional story during the time of assimilation within the US. An important story to be told from the 1915 era, I would have liked to have seen the reservation landscapes during this time. I recommend this read so you can discover Laughing Boy and Slim Girl‘s love story.

I‘ve spent today in bed with a sinus infection and fever. It‘s been hard to concentrate to read, but I can surf newspaper archives. This is a notice about a literary luncheon where my great-grandmother presented about the tagged book. Now I want to read it! And this is why I always say my love of reading comes from my dad. This is his grandmother, so maybe it‘s genetic or learned since he was close to them. #generationsofreaders #genealogy 🤒😷🤧

Leftcoastzen Hope you feel better soon! I think I used to have a copy of that book yet never read it.😉 6y

BarbaraTheBibliophage @Vertabrain Thanks. I‘m sure I will be. The luncheon was in 1930, which is the year this book was published. 6y
Vertabrain Thanks :) I just looked it up, and the book looks good. It was a debut novel that won the Pulitzer! I‘m intrigued. 6y
FashionableObserver What a cool find! I, too, am intrigued by the book! Feel better! I have chronic sinusitis so I know exactly what you‘re going through. Hot water with lemon and honey always helps. And, if you‘re feeling fancy, add a little whiskey! 😜 (edited) 6y
