A story between mothers and daughters, relationships that are separated through unfortunate events.

I enjoyed the reading the family history of Violet, Lucia, and Flora. Each person had personal growth without mother figures in their life and how they found their way back to each other. The book goes through pain and love in the early 1900s.

A quick short story and an easy read. I loved the movie but was disappointed in the book‘s ending. Doesn‘t takeaway the fun I had reading this thrilling story.

Cathy takes you on her adventure to the south, north, and east faces of Mount Everest. I enjoyed reading about the mountaineering in extreme weather conditions.

What a read! I had fun with this modern day romance.

Nina Hill lives & breathes books, she works at a bookstore & loves reading at home. Life throws a curveball to her quiet life with new people outside of trivia night & multiple book clubs.

I related to her social anxiety & wanting to be alone with pets. Coming out of your shell is beneficial for your own wellness. This book came from my local book club and I will pass it on to you. Enjoy!

As an indigenous Navajo, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. A fictional story during the time of assimilation within the US. An important story to be told from the 1915 era, I would have liked to have seen the reservation landscapes during this time. I recommend this read so you can discover Laughing Boy and Slim Girl‘s love story.

I used to have this movie on VHS and would watch it over and over. After finishing the book, I can appreciate the 1995 movie. I liked the difference of story lines between the movie and the book. It was a heart warming read and I‘m glad I was able to revisit a piece of my childhood.

I enjoyed this read from beginning to end. I learn a lot about the Korean and Japanese cultures, how they‘re together but separated. You‘re introduced to Sunja and her journey from childhood to adulthood. You meet the loves of her life.

A great read on Michelle‘s journey from childhood to her professional career. Her journey is inspiring for minorities, people of color, dreamers, and women.

After listening to Karen and Georgia for 3 years, I finally get to learn about them on a more personal level. They are wise older sisters bringing you wisdom on mental health, love, and self love. I gave my copy to my work wife that got me into the podcast. 💕 #mfm #murderino

A thriller from the 80‘s. The narrative is from the popular writer Paul Sheldon who has been held hostage by his psychotic fan, Annie Wilkes.

This book keeps you on edge and I‘m pleased to know there‘s a movie I can watch!

Victoriahoperose So good. Loved the movie too! 5y

Why aren‘t you reading this yet? I saw the movie ages ago but going through and reading the book gave me more of Eilis‘ background. From homesickness, studying, love, and loss, Eilis discovers herself but not on her terms.

Overall good read, I have to go back and watch the movie now!

A unique story about a girl growing up and surviving on her own in the marshes. The struggle of Kaya‘s love and hope takes you on a whirlwind.

I would like to read this again soon and will recommend to everyone looking for something new.

This is the longest book, ever. I love a good love story but this is too cheesy. Here‘s to the last 7 hours of audiobook listening.

abellism The movie was better. 5y
rretzler It took me forever to listen to it. It was a decent listen but tugged on the heartstrings a little more than I like. Gratuitous emotion IMO 🤣 5y

An amazing adventure for hobbits, dwarfs, wizards, elves, and men. I loved it as much as the movie and loved the backstories to the characters. I recommend this to anyone and everyone. I can‘t wait to start Two Towers.

rretzler Same cover I have - I received the box set with those covers Christmas of my freshman year of high school around 40 years ago! They are so old and beat up from multiple readings that I just purchased a new box set for my senior in high school! 5y
abellism @rretzler that‘s so cool you still have the box set! 👍👍👍 5y
rretzler Wouldn‘t give the books up for anything. I now have the kindle edition too so I can reread them at will! Hope you enjoy them! 5y

What a page turner! I‘ve read 4 of Penny‘s books and her books have not disappointed. I loved the OUTRAGEOUS affair(s) in this book, the way you care about the characters in the story and the depth of storytelling that makes you want to keep reading. Read this book if you like suspense, drama, and love. Onto the next Penny Vincenzi book. 👍🏽👍🏽

A phenomenal thriller that I couldn‘t put down. This was a great book to read before watching the original movie and preparing to see the latest movie. I recommend this 110%!
