This TL Christmas classic is a sad, beautiful story about a young, poor Danish girl who must brave through the cold December weather to sell her matchsticks before she can go home. As night falls and she is forced to light her matchsticks one by one to stay warm, she is drawn in by visions that combat her loneliness and throw her into her memories.
panI listened to this on Librivox. It didn‘t take me very long to listen to but it broke my heart. It‘s sad but it‘s so well written. I don‘t want to listen to it again. I feel like it‘s going to stay with me for awhile.
