Finally read A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki. This has been on my TBR since 2016 😂 (is it just me or am I normal). Unfortunately, this was just an okay read for me - I gave it a 3 star on goodreads. This book is a historical/contemporary fiction I would say. I love reading Nao‘s diary. The writing and description is wonderful, I‘m truly devastated with what she has been through. However, Ruth part is just boring and monotonous.

5 🌟 I absolutely love this! My previous two by this author was also a 5 stars read, so I‘m not suprised that I loved this book so much. This is a historical fiction that tells a story during WWII, particularly on the event during the evacuation of German refugees on a ship named Wilhelm Gustloff. We follow multiple points of view and I love each of the characters so much. The story is so heartbreaking and gut wrenching. Have you read this book?

Texreader Yes it is so good! 4y

4 stars 🌟 I read this book alongside with the audiobook, and it‘s amazing! I heard a lot of people praising the audiobook because of the full cast for every character, and the hype is real you guys. However, I‘m not sure if I‘m liking the story format. Have you read this book? What are your thoughts? 💭 P/S: My favourite character is Karen.

2 ⭐️ This is a YA Dystopia that has a point of view from a 16 years old girl. In this world, all 16 years old girl will be sent to the outskirt to live by themselves - in order to banish “the magic” in them. There are a lot of things that happened in this book that showed oppression towards women. I expect it will be resolved by the main character, but nope 🙄 Couldn‘t connect to the characters at all. Would not recommend.

Hello! I‘m currently reading this YA Romance by Gayle Forman. 150 pages in but I‘m getting bored with this book. Should I DNF it? If you have read it, is it worth it to continue? Let me know your thoughts 💭

4 🌟 This book is so scary I have trouble sleeping at night! It‘s a story about a haunted house that lure victim into their house every 9 years. It start in 1979 until 2015, so there is 5 different stories in it but it‘s all related to one another. The vibe is really creepy like I‘m watching a horror movie 😭 But the story is really good! Have you read this book? What are your thoughts?

Just finished The Kiss Quotient today and I‘m absolutely in love with this book! 5 stars 🌟 After the last page, I feel like starting all over it again 😍 This book is about the love story between Stella, who has asperger syndrome and struggling with her social life, with Michael who happens to be the perfect “escort” for Stella in practicing her social skills. I love both characters so much! Have you read this books? What are your thoughts? 💭

War of Hearts is Samantha Young‘s first paranormal romance, written under her pen name; S. Young. I gave this book 3 stars. It started strong with so many actions and adrenaline rush scene, but the other half of the book was just meh for me. If you are into Paranormal Romance, you can try it. If you have read this book, what are your thoughts 💭? Any Paranormal Romance book you would like to recommend?

I‘m halfway through this book, and so far loving it. I‘m expecting to read a light story however the content is much more serious than what the title illustrates. Have you read this book? What are your thoughts? 💭

4🌟 entirely because of the mind blown plot twist! 🤯 This is a psychological thriller about a psychotherapist and his patient who refuse to talk after she killed her husband. He is trying to know why she did it. Knocked off 1 star because it was hard to get into for the first few chapters. Have you read this? What are your thoughts? 💭

November 9 (Nine) | Colleen Hoover
post image
Pickpick

This is my second book by Colleen Hoover and now I want to read all of her books. November 9 is a romance story between two people, who promises to meet only on this date for 5 years until they are 23 years old. The story that happened in this book was told only on this date, so it is very interesting as you can see how their lives changes every year, and how their character grow. If romance is your thing then please try it 📚💕

Kimberlone Have you read One Day? Very similar premise 5y

I finished Devil‘s Place by Brian Gomez. My friend lend me this book, saying it is one of his favourite. DNF at 50% 😭 After struggling for a month trying to get into this book, I give up. The writing style is so good but the storyline is so slow and boring, urgh I can‘t take it anymore. Maybe this book is not for me. Have you read this one? What are your thoughts? 📚💞

A Walk to Remember | Nicholas Sparks

Mehso-so

3/5 stars. The story is very sad, I cried like crazy reading it. However, I have issues when the author keep mocking someone appearance and disability. It is unnecessary & pointless. At first I thought it is because the main character is 17 years old when the story happened, but then I remembered that the narrator is himself when he is 57 years old. Anyway, apart from that, the storyline is great!

Finished this and it is the most depressing book I have ever read. Like seriously asdfghjkl depressing! I don‘t know how to describe it though because this book give me pains, anger and annoyance all at the same time! This book was told from a first point of view; a girl that has been raped by her brother‘s best friend. It‘s all about the aftermath - for 4 years before the girl realise she has to do something about it. 3⭐️ for this one.

thereadingowlvina This book sounds sad! 😥 6y

My current read. I love her other book - Nightingale so much, I decided to pick this one up. I‘m on page 300/391. The first 30% is quite slow, but it‘s getting interesting as it goes. This book is about two sisters learning about their mother‘s past from the fairy tales story told by her. It alternates between the real world & the fairy tales world. I can‘t wait to know the ending. Have you read this? What are your thoughts?

Creepiest book I have ever read! Finished this few days ago and I gave it 5 stars. This is a story about a woman who is living in this apocalyptic world where you can‘t look outside because people are seeing something that kills them. Nobody know what it is because nobody has lived to say what they saw. Definitely pick this one up if you are into a creepy and eerie story. Have you read this? What are your thoughts? #birdbox #joshmalerman 📚💕

I listened to the audiobook, read by the author. Some of the poem is definitely relatable. I can sense that this book is very personal to the author, that is something that makes the book powerful. Especially the feminism message that this book carry, I love it.

“how is it so easy for you
to be kind to people he asked

milk and honey dripped
from my lips as i answered

cause people have not
been kind to me”

Finished this book today. Inspirational book coming from an acid attack survivor - Katie Piper who was attacked by her psycho ex-boyfriend using sulfuric acid. The aftermath was horrendous. By reading this book, it gave me a glimpse inside the head of a burn / disfigurement victim. Hopefully this will increase my empathy, or benefits me in any way. 📚💓

Nute One of the most important reasons for why we read. Thanks for sharing this book. Stacking immediately! 6y
