I relished the food descriptions and the bistro scenes brought back memories (both fond and stressful) of working in restaurants. The rest was okay with a dash of frustrating characters and a sprinkle of weird interactions. Nevertheless, I‘m craving some homemade crackers and savory doughnuts! 🎧

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a wonderful story of love and loss. Adrienne Dealey decides to take a job as an assistant manager in a restaurant even though she has worked in hotels until now. Adrienne has moved a lot and is new in Nantucket. This is the last Summer for the Blue Bistro to be open. Each of the characters comes alive in this story and all the feels are here.

I hated this book. I had hoped for more plot, and less gushing about how great it is to work in a restaurant. Waaaayyy too much tedious detail about dinner service after dinner service. Like I get it - it's a swanky bistro with food that sounds amazing, difficult guests, and great tips.

Such a bummer, I used to always enjoy her books. Not sure if I've just hit an unlucky streak, but the last few of hers I've picked up were definite misses 😩

I usually like her stuff. They tend to be my audiobooks for the car. But I‘m not feeling this one yet. The way the stupid guy talks about his restaurant. He is so full of himself. It‘s just food, for Pete‘s sake!

The love story in this one was both beautiful and heartbreaking. I loved the whole Nantucket restaurant scene and the relationship between all the employees. I‘m not sure how I feel about the ending but I will say I had a hard time putting this down during the second half of the book. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
