I‘m apparently in a Hilderbrand mood as my last 3 books have been part of her Nantucket series. Although this book didn‘t have any recurring characters- as it‘s the first in the series- I loved it all the same. Perfect beach book- complete with twists, drama and love stories. I also loved how all the characters were experiencing existential crisis of sorts. Relatable.

For several years I wanted too visit EH where her Nantucket series began. But when older books are not on my physical shelves it‘s hard to pull them from my TBR. I was thrilled when my June #DoubleSpin challenged me with category: Ebook TBR. Some of this 2000 contemporary writing doesn‘t quite work as contemporary fiction 25 years later, but still it was a fun to read the book where the Nantucket series began.

Summer is not quite over but I think my summer reading is. Here‘s a recap of my summery titles. Not as many as usual. Heavy on the Hilderbrand! Only two with #SummerintheTitle. Several summer books going back on the shelf until next year. #summerreading. Time to move on to some dark academia!

Back to the beginning for my favorite author. Excited to read about Sweet Edie‘s parents.

This is EH‘s first book, and while I enjoyed it okay, you can tell her writing has come a long way. It feels a little clunky and I wasn‘t really a fan of any of the main characters, but if you like EH I‘d still recommend grabbing it from the library. 3.5⭐️

EH‘s first book - can‘t believe I never read it. I enjoyed it. The author has evolved quite nicely.

A reread for me!! I love everything Elin Hilderbrand writes. This one is a little less funny than some of her others but I still smiled while I read it. A little bit of seriousness in here, but not at all heavy. This one makes me feel like I‘m peeping in on conversations and events that would be none of my business in real life, and that‘s a lot of fun. Also all of the talk of sand and wind and waves makes me anticipate summer in a huge way.

Very light beach read. This book was really predictable and I found myself skipping pages toward the end.

Ahhhh Elin H‘s books feel like old friends to me! I can‘t help it-I love them so. She‘s so good at taking a large cast, giving every one of them a POV, and somehow making it work super well. This one doesn‘t have the 100% happy ending some people want, but the end left me smiling and I was satisfied. Plus, I totally felt like a guest at The Beach Club featured here-her Nantucket settings are 💯

I‘ll be buying a copy of this for my own shelves.

I‘m #currentlyreading this well-loved library paperback from one of my favorites, Elin Hilderbrand. Her characters are always soooo good 🌊☀️👙🙌🏻

Almost 2 hours of listening and cleaning. Got my floors vacuumed and mopped. Bathroom is clean. Washing machine and dishwasjer are doing their jobs. Taking a small break to head to open house at a local aquaponic farm. 3 hours down, 21 to go. #24in48
