Getting ready for my first trip to Maine…

I‘m about a third of the way through this odd duck. I don‘t quite know what to make of it but I‘m enjoying the oddity thus far. 🧐

I preordered this on Audible and it was delivered this morning. I can‘t wait to finish work so I can listen to this one!

Just finished this one for the second time. I must admit I appreciated it much more the second time around. For all her faults, I can‘t help but be fond of Emma📚🥰

Okay, so I usually don‘t love romances. That being said, I really loved this one. It was fun and quirky and I actually liked the main characters and their banter.

I‘m loving the witty banter in this one!
It also helps that the main character loves literature and works in a university library. Apparently, I‘ve been really into romance novels lately… 📚

Library hold finally came in!

I‘m currently 35% of the way through this and I‘m really enjoying it!

I‘ve already completed my 2023 reading challenge but I think I can read one more before the end of the year.

This is totally the holiday vibe I‘m going for…🎄😎

Just finished this one yesterday…I would give it 3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ because I‘m still thinking about it the next day. I do have mixed feelings about it though.

I‘m about 70% of the way through this monster. It‘s the first time I‘ve really made it this far. It‘s hard to stomach but I can‘t stop listening. Only 12 more hours to go!

I usually don‘t like romance novels at all, but this one was light hearted and fun to listen to. I think I enjoyed this one more than the first.

Mama Cat and I enjoyed this one. We would say ⭐️⭐️⭐️. It‘s satirical and odd but I‘m still thinking about it.

My sister recommended this one to me. I‘ve heard really great things.

I‘m still making my way through this one.. my understanding has improved but I must say I‘m struggling with idioms. 🙄

My friend and I started a “bad romance book club” , but so far, this one isn‘t so bad 😅

I thought I‘d be waiting a lot longer for this hold to come in from the library! 📚

I must say, I think this was one of my favourite years for memoirs. Both of my favourite non-fiction reads for 2022 were memoirs. 1) I‘m glad my mom died. 2) Crying in H Mart. #bestof

Even though I completed a degree in English literature, I managed to do everything in my power to avoid reading this one. My father rather loved it and I thought he was crazy. Fast forward seven years and I am trying to read it for the first time, and I must say, I am rather enjoying it! #classics

It finally arrived!! I preordered this months ago! I can‘t wait to dive in over the upcoming holiday weekend!

I wanted so badly to love this book. It‘s my friend‘s favourite book and I‘ve heard excellent things for years. However, I found that for me, nothing really happened. It was slow and then when I realized what the insidious element was, it kind of fell flat to be honest.

Wow. This is a quiet, unassuming force to be reckoned with. I highly recommend!

Just starting this one, but so far, I‘m really liking it!

I started this one this morning before work and now I don‘t want to put it down to actually do my work. 😅

I‘m the very first person to take this out of my library. It‘s so beautiful and brand new. I knew there were perks to being the librarian 📚

My lovely, thoughtful fiancé came home from work with this lovely surprise! I‘ve been sick and bedridden all week, and this was the loveliest gesture. ??

This library hold came in on Libby. It seems quite fitting with the windy and gloomy day ahead.

This is my first Nordic noir book. It is also the first crime book I‘ve read that takes place in Iceland. I have to say that I quite enjoyed it. I thought the author did a great job weaving the story together and giving enough information and left things up for interpretation. There are a few questions I have that aren‘t answered but that‘s kind of the beauty of this book!

So far, I‘m really enjoying this one! I must say this is my first delve into the Nordic noir genre and I am really pleased. It‘s quite atmospheric and the characters are dynamic but I also don‘t feel like I‘m getting too many unnecessary personal details about them.

So the photo isn‘t great BUT the book is! I laughed out loud more than I probably should‘ve given the subject matter but I really couldn‘t help but love this gem 💎

I told myself I‘d stop buying books… but then I saw this one and my library doesn‘t have it in the system. So naturally, I had to acquire it somehow 🧐😅

So far I‘m really enjoying the tagged book! The narration and main character are so witty that it‘s made me laugh out loud a few times. A book I didn‘t know I needed. I‘m also trying to read “never let me go” again. I‘ve been struggling to get through this one but I am determined! 📚

So I‘ve been listening to this one during my breaks at work or when I‘m alone in my office. I must say I wasn‘t expecting the beginning

So I am trying to improve my French (I‘ve moved into an area where it is the primary language) and I am trying to read more in French and understand and enjoy the stories. I am finding that difficult because I don‘t want to only read children‘s books. Haha if any one has any suggestions I‘d love to know 😊
