I can‘t believe I almost quit this book! It was so good, so much happens, but it‘s all little stuff. I loved that Eleanor grew and healed. She even found a friend! I was so sad to see this book end, I almost cried when my kindle flipped to the acknowledgements. So glad @jenniferajanes rated this a 5 star otherwise I wouldn‘t have finished it. Plus I have a question for all those who have read the book in the comments, since it‘s kind of a spoiler

cjbooklover Do you ship Eleanor and Raymond? I think they would make a great couple! 3d

This was so good!! I loved all the twists and turns. The build up in the beginning was definitely met in the end. I liked this one better than The Silent Patient. Will definitely be checking out some more of Riley Sager‘s books!

I was not impressed. I was expecting a twisty thriller and this was not it. Honestly, the sad thing is my favorite part was Violet‘s big story. I did not care for the references to sex or the language. I am disappointed I wasted my time on this. I think it does reveal that we all will do terrible things to succeed. @jenniferajanes I would not recommend reading it. There are much better books out there.

jenniferajanes After discussing it with you further, I think I‘ll spend my weekend reading time on a different book. Thanks for the heads up! 😘 2w

I loved this book! It had a little bit of everything; romance, mystery, and character development. I really enjoyed watching Josie grow and see the decisions that shape her. There were some really sad parts, but the ending was perfect! I loved what she changed her last name to! (Pay attention to some of the characters last names😉)

A good book, but unfortunately the sex and language kept me from rating it 4⭐️. The mystery throughout the book was really interesting, but honestly they focused a lot on character development of Eric. I think the way the book handled his schizophrenia was good. Some of his visions are very disturbing. The hundredish pages were nerve wracking. Overall, a good read, but I definitely am not going to be seeking out the second book.

cjbooklover @jenniferajanes can‘t wait to see what you think! 2mo

I really enjoyed the way this book was written. I loved the fact that it had a decent amount of words that I was not familiar with so I could expand my vocabulary. The council‘s rules and reasoning about the sign was absolutely ludicrous, yet scary. I loved that the people fought back for their beloved home. 3/5 ⭐️

A great book, but not what I thought it was going to be. I thought (of course by the title) it was about the lie tree. It was actually more about Faith and the prejudices against female scientists. It was a character driven book, and I enjoyed it. I just felt like I was cheated just a bit. (Also a pet peeve is that the fruit in the book is nothing like the cover. Maybe that doesn‘t bother most people but it bothers me.)

This was a great read. I really enjoyed listening to it on audio, plus there was a recorded interview with Ted Dekker!! I constantly picked up the book when I had a few free minutes. I was really surprised by the twist at the end and it kind of put some of the book into perspective. In a way, I felt sorry for Boneman, yet what he did was wrong. Dekker‘s story telling is creepy yet enthralling! Looking forward to reading more of his books.

Dance With Me by Staci Stallings. This was a good book, but it was a little long for a romance novel. I really enjoyed Josh and Kaci‘s relationship. There was a lot of character development, although some of the stuff was a tad drawn out. I really enjoyed Mr. Wallace‘s words of wisdom. 3/5⭐️

This book (Murder Offstage by L.B. Hathaway) was really good. The writing style flowed smoothly and made really easy reading. I liked the touch of romance. Honestly, halfway through I thought it was all figured out and we just had to execute the plan, which was really disappointing. Man, was I wrong! There were so many little plot twists at the end! While this is technically a series, it can be read as a stand alone. Rest in comments

This book is creepy, but in such a subtle way. I really enjoyed the main character‘s stance on women‘s rights and how smart she was. Every woman being the same was really creepy. I wish I had not read the literary analysis (which looked like a little introduction) before I read the book. I think that would have made the reading more enjoyable.

This ending made me mad. So mad that I deleted the book as soon as I could because it was defiling my kindle. The best part about this book is that it captures the awkwardness of teen romance. I did not appreciate the ending or more intimate scenes. I am also dissatisfied with how we never found out if her family was okay. Also her stepdad was abusive and a total jerk. The ending was just anticlimactic for me. #unpopularopinion

This book reminded me of a Twilight Zone episode. The weirdness of the story made it rather enjoyable. I think it shows us that the things we think are really important, mean nothing. We get so dedicated to one thing we don‘t see the absurdity of it. The things we invest time in will mean the most to us.

This book was amazing! I had already seen the movie and I loved it. The book was similar to the movie, although some of the romance in the book seemed a tad overdone. My favorite thing about this book is that it addresses emotional abuse and does not minimize it in any way. Often, this is an ignored and overlooked topic. Jenni James handles it well and creates an amazing story in the process.
