Friendship and tragedy, love and lies... tragic. Stunning. Raw. Confrontational. Beautiful. Eloquent. Outstanding.

I'm... speechless. I can't find the words that will do it justice. If I ever find them, I won't be able to sing this book's praises enough!!

2 posts in one day, oops! But I can't help it! It's just such a lovely day outside, how can I not share my joy?

It's a porch reading kinda day! At 68°F with partly cloudy blue skies and lots of sunshine, my heart is just bursting after so many days filled with rain and grey skies and blahhhhh. It's going to get hotter in the coming days so I am taking full advantage of this perfect day.

I wasn't sure what I was reading for a while, which made it difficult to get into. The story is one we've all heard before of the drama from the upper and working classes mingling. I enjoyed the story overall but the writing could have been less choppy, and it contained odd descriptions... sometimes too many flowery adjectives, going on for most of the page, to sometimes not enough adjectives to tell what was happening.

Saying many prayers for this wonderful author. I had the opportunity to hear her speak twice last year, with Nadia Bolz Weber (whom I adore!), and I am just astonished at the massive curveball life has thrown her way. She helped to grow and inspire my faith and the faiths of many. I pray she comes out of this ordeal as best as she can, and that her family can find some peace.

Refreshing. Hard not to start with armchair diagnoses but that's the beauty of it. We don't need to know absolutely everything to enjoy what is in front of us. We can find happiness in the simplest of things, often those very things we typically take for granted. This book is filled with terrific 1-2 line quotes that stand on their own, too!

It's about a woman who is coping with her life the only way she knows how. Who are we to judge her?

Let's talk about libraries for a second...

Ya girl is done with statistics forever!! And with an A! And it's springtime with all the flowers outside! 😄

I celebrated with rereading a bit of my new favorite guilty pleasure author, and enjoyed a glass of wine with it.
Being done with what was easily one of the most difficult classes I've ever taken is such a relief! 😌 Now I just need to finish all my other projects and papers...

Kinda reading related... but not really.

All I want to do right now is curl up in bed with my kindle and just chill out. But no. I'm powering through sinus pain, and studying for my stats exam. It's finals for the next 3 weeks, so reading for pleasure isn't really an option. Although, I am really loving the last book we are reading in my Lit class, so that's my silver lining right now (which is tagged).

I really hate stats.

Pray for me, ya'll.

I really want to start watching the Hulu show... but I won't let myself until I read the book(s). Here we go!

So surprised that I am actually enjoying this required reading for my literature class! I'm only five chapters in and absolutely love it! As a special education major, this is really an interesting read so far!
