Really good book by Claudia Gray.
This book delves into the troubled relationship between one of the most famous master and Padawan pairs in the entire Star Wars saga: Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
This thrilling story is a little bit slow but a lot of twists in the plot makes this book quite good.
For sure a book a Star Wars fan should read!!!

My girlfriend hates me because the first thing I did for the move in our new house was put the books in boxes!!!
And I still don't have any bookshelves to put them on 😬😬

One of my favourite SW characters!!!
This comic is about Maul's thirst for revenge on the Jedi, and more importantly, explains why he can't quench this relentless urge.
Every SW fan should enjoy this story and its beautiful drawings!!!
Welcome to the dark side...

It‘s comic time!!!
I don't know if you can tell that I'm a huge Star Wars fan from this photo 🤔
Just finished “Age of Republic”, a comic with some stories that dig deep into the souls of the protagonists of the Star wars prequel trilogy.
I personally loved the Qui Gon‘s and Maul‘s ones!!!

A super classic book.
The example of a distopia.
Great story and an author‘s forward-looking vision make this book a must read one.
Just thinking about the times when this book was written I can surely say that Orwell was a kind of genius, predicting what somehow the internet and social media are doing today.

Meaw_catlady Nice review. This book is so relevant to today. It‘s scary . 3y

I‘ve read lots of bad reviews about this book but I found it good.
An emotional story post “Battle of Yavin” about Luke Skywalker and his relationship with the Force.
There‘s almost everything in this story, adventure, love, friendship, emotions and a little of horror.
I also appreciated the author's choice to narrate in the first person, as if to make each of the readers a new "Luke."

Just finish reading this comic; this is the prequel of the Fallen Order game.
Really nice drawings (as all the SW comics) but I expected something that would better explain the history of these characters.
The story is quite good but nothing special or very adventurous.

An incredible biography about Tiziano Terzani, a traveler, a journalist, a dreamer.
Through his eyes he has seen and recounted wars, revolutions, cultures, in times when it was more difficult to travel than today, distinguishing between good and evil, asking what was right and what was wrong, always with the critical spirit that distinguishes him.

Well...the title could be intriguing (Forgetting therapy: against the excesses of memory) but the rest is not.

The book's thesis is an interesting one: the mistakes that excessive remembering of history makes in the present because past events are not put into context.
But the book is a list of past stories, useful to understand the author point of view, that make very heavy reading this book.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...

Great story about GrandMoff Tarkin.
One of the best villains in the SW world.
Enigmatic, resolute and determined, represses attacks on the empire with violence alongside Darth Vader.
The book explains better the life of Tarkin and why he is so hard and resolute.

Compelling, paradoxical in its writing, in its communication, in its digressions, in the narrator's comments during the story, in the story itself.
If you read with the right eyes, with a look that goes beyond reality, you can understand the author's denunciation of the materiality of modern man, the church and politics. And he does it with biting sarcasm (which I personally love).
Definitely love it

My first Star Wars comic.
Mace Windu is one of my favourite characters and this comic tells about one of his missions during the Clone Wars.
A really good impression of this work, good and adventurous story, new and fascinating characters (and Kit Fisto among them, I love him) and beautiful drawings.
I look forward to read more and more SW comics!!!

JLaurenceCohen Have you read Stover's novel Shatterpoint? 3y
TheGremo @JLaurenceCohen unfortunately not yet. I've recently gotten into SW comics and have only purchased a few “canons” so far.
So tips are always welcome 🙏🏻
3y
JLaurenceCohen @TheGremo I highly recommend Shatterpoint. It's a retelling of Heart of Darkness set on Mace Windu's homeworld. As far as comics, Kieron Gillen's Vader series is great. 3y
TheGremo @JLaurenceCohen Yes!!! I already have Gillen‘s Darth Vader and I‘ll read it very very soon!!! Thanks for your suggestion about Windu 👍😊 (edited) 3y

Good book, but I found it a little slow.
A constant jump from exciting adventures to somewhat boring situations and in my opinion there are too much descriptions that slow down the story.
Not bad but not too good either.

I‘ll see the best chapters, hoping they will be a little better #shannara #theswordofshannara #terrybrooks

There isn't a moment to catch your breath because it's a continuous adventure.
Personally, I love Welsh and I love "Gas" Terry, a character who with his many weaknesses is hard to forget.

A very good book about the rise of Mussolini (from 1919 to the beginning of 1925).
The author explain that he wants to write a kind of “novel” about that story but I see this book in a different way. I see many historic details very well described but not a novel (but it‘s not a critic because it‘s very detailed and perfect for who wants to learn something more about this period of Italian history).

And now some science fiction.
I love Star Wars (I know every word of the films) but this is my first Star Wars book.
Personally I‘ve found this book quite good but nothing special.
I loved the fact that it shows the behavior that the various characters have in the movies of the 70s.
Also because...who doesn‘t love Han & Lando?!?!

Riveted_Reader_Melissa If you have any interest, try a Star Wars book on audiobook, they have the score and sound effects added into the narration. 3y
TheGremo Well, in my opinion that‘s the main problem about Star Wars books, authors try to describe (for example) a blaster battle, but it‘s a little bit strangers read about it. So...I‘ll try audiobooks for sure (edited) 3y

Blitzed (“Tossici” in the Italian version) has been one of the best historic book I‘ve ever read.
I love to discover what really happened during the first half of the 1900, and to get close to the truth we must be open to new news and conclusions.
This book don‘t want to be the only one to tell us the truth but it offers us only one other very interesting key to the reading of that time.
Love it and I recommended it

keithmalek Unfortunately, it lacks historical accuracy. Here is just one of many articles which says so: https://www.ft.com/content/3989c0b2-9132-11e6-a72e-b428cb934b78 2y

Almost perfect.
I was scared to find it boring before reading this book but...I was completely wrong!!!
Continuous twists and turns keep the reader with his eyes fixed on the book.
Love it
