I have read every novel Carolyn has published, so I feel like an expert who can say that Carolyn Miller is the #1 Regency-era writer of modern times. I‘m blown away by Underestimating Miss Cecilia; it‘s such a fantastically penned romance. It‘s sweeping, it‘s heartbreaking, it‘s frustrating, it‘s sweetly romantic, and it‘s filled with timely lessons. Suffice to say, Underestimating Miss Cecilia is an exquisite read!

The Governess of Penwythe Hall by Sarah Ladd is a real treat! I was instantly hooked by the adventure, mystery, and romance depicted. When I had to, I struggled to put this book down. I adored the unique and vibrant characters. The settings are perfectly crafted as it felt like I was in Cornwall in 1808 with Delia, Jac, and the children. And, I am a big fan of the relationship between Delia and Jac. Highly recommend!

You know those stories that leave you satisfied and sad at the same time? Satisfied because the book is good in every way. Sad because the final page has been read, but you‘re just not ready for the adventure to be over. Yeah, this is exactly the kind of story The Number of Love is. This book is so excellent I can‘t help but be excited for the future novels in this series.

Murder at the Flamingo is the first novel I‘ve read by Rachel McMillan & I am glad I read this book. Reading this novel is like stepping into a 1930s RKO masterpiece. I enjoyed everything: the sense of nostalgia, the references to classic films & actors/actresses, the setting descriptions, fabulous characters who endeared themselves to my heart almost immediately, & a tremendously engaging plot! Murder at the Flamingo is a definite #MustRead!

I first met Shannon in Hold the Light (2015) while she was helping her best friend, Amber, learn how to navigate a newly-sightless world. I loved how strong, compassionate, & patient Shannon was towards her struggling friend, & hoped that McGowan would write a sequel so I could learn Shannon‘s full story. Two years later, and I can tell you it has 1000% been worth the wait. Shine the Light is an outstanding story.

Shadow among Sheaves | Naomi Stephens

My favorite aspect of this novel is the realism: the depiction of 1850‘s British class systems & social hierarchies, the tension created between the hero and heroine due to societal constructs, the illustration of the backbreaking work communities did in order to bring in a harvest, & the loyalty exhibited between two widows trying to survive proves Shadow Among Sheaves is a well-researched, highly captivating story, one I will not soon forget.

Kristy Cambron has a gift. She writes stories that are SO beautiful and poignant they stick with readers LONG after the final pages have been read. Castle on the Rise is a wonderful story. I was captivated from page one, had a seriously hard time putting the book down, and sobbed my eyes out in several places. This book wrecked my heart, yet left me feeling so hopeful. Castle on the Rise is another excellent example of Cambron‘s brilliant talent.
