#11 of 2023 Pros: Interesting characters. Descriptive setting (Alaska, mostly in deep winter)almost like another character. Believable protagonist. Cons: Too long, made the story drag. Many of those interesting characters didn‘t seem particularly real. Read for a Bookgirls challenge.

Loving this new cover. My favorite of her historical fiction ghost stories. From St James IG ⬇️

“Take it away,” she whispers, granting me permission to make her feel the only way I want to for the rest of my damn life.
Owned. Cherished. Adored. Cared for in a way only I know how.
Trailing a hand down her middle, her legs part and she moans when I enter her. “Don‘t think, Mia,” I whisper. “Just feel.”

The Dominant Love Duet has a brand new look! Available to read on all platfroms.

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!) Feel free to join in!

A short little novela of 118 pages in Widow 's Island series #SeriesLove23 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView This is the 9th book. The lake is a mirror here on the cover. #ISpyBingoJanuary @Clwojick @TheAromaofBooks This one is about Henry being taken to save one of three brothers who was shot as they robbed a bank. It is not listed on Litsy #LitsyLoveReads

I read this entire book and still have no idea why it is called Her Deadly Secrets. It's a pretty good murder mystery, and the main characters, a PI and the private security guy who is hired to protect her after her colleague is murdered while they are working on a case, are likeable.

A serial killer is on the loose! Grace is a behavioral analyst and Sam is an FBI agent and a prison psychiatrist. I loved Sam just about right off the bat. The real, pulse-pounding action doesn‘t start until around page 124. Not that I‘m complaining, I was completely invested in the story from the first chapter. Wonderful and suspenseful. I can‘t wait for the next book!

Help! This audio book is killing me! I need a better one but I'm horrible at picking anything.
Anyone have any suggestions for a mystery or horror that is read really well?

IndoorDame She falls on the ghost stories end of mystery/horror, but if that appeals I almost always choose to listen to Simone St. James books on audio 1w
Buchbeeg I love ghost stories! I'll try that next! 1w
Buchbeeg This one might be better if I were reading it but listening to it isn't working. It just moves so slow 1w

Susanita Dual timeline with two different narrators 1w
Buchbeeg @Susanita adding to my list now! I love when there are various narrators. 1w
Buchbeeg @Susanita Ah man, it's not on my audio book apps :( 1w
Susanita Bummer! I‘d also suggest anything by Deborah Crombie. They‘re interesting stories, and the narrator is good. If you like classic mysteries this one is compelling and fairly short: 1w
Buchbeeg @Susanita Perfect! Lots of options for her on my Libby app!!! 1w
