July stack. Also read two ebooks, wallflower and the wicked and brazen and the beast by Sarah Maclean.
I took this Georgette Heyer off the shelf today (but then had to check Goodreads to see if I‘d already read it 😆).
A cute, predictable romance full of witty repartee. I wish I was as quick on the verbal sparring as Effie.
I completed one of my outstanding #NetGalley reads! Thank you @AllDebooks for inspiring me to dive back in.
When I think of you,
involuntarily I
bite my lip, dreaming…

Delightful historical romance! Just dummies in love. I love it.
This was SO MUCH FUN. I loved Miles & Abigail—their banter, humor, and romance, as well as the contrast & balance that becomes apparent between these two such well-matched characters. Heyer just gets everything right: Abigail‘s pitch-perfect near-caricature relatives—lovable and infuriating by turns—a surprising but thoroughly appealing male love interest, and comeuppance where it is due. ⤵️
