Either a nuetral good or lawful neutral....depends on my situation and what's at hand 😂
Thanks to Sherlock Holmes and Irene Adler, Sherlock's skills and spirit still live in the form of a young lady whose deductive powers seem matched by no one! In The Daughter of Sherlock Holmes, the two Watsons and the new Sherlock are out to solve a complicated mystery involving treasure, codes, and murder...couldn't put it down!
Very informative and well written. A reminder and description of the war for free trade that has been going on since the beginning of the nation! Looking forward to reading more books by these exceptional authors. 👍
"And that was how a great scandal threatened to affect the kingdom of Bohemia, and how the best plans of Mr. Sherlock Holmes were beaten by a women's wit."

"Hear, O Isreal! Yahweh is God - Yahweh alone!"
Fell in love with this first one and I am so excited to move on to the second book in Lynn Austin's Chronicles of the Kings series!
Did it make me cry? Yes.
Did it make me laugh? Yes.
Did it make me even further in awe of the loving God I serve? Double yes!
Wonderful autobiography of a girl from a Muslim family who forsook all to worship Christ freely. ❤
Couldn't put it down!
Thank you so much @lover.of.the.classics for recommending and lending me this book! It was a wonderful piece of historical fiction, and I look forward to reading more from this author!
A short, educational, easy read and honestly quite entertaining! The Dual gives a behind the scenes look at the lives of the men behind the famed dual. It's really amazing to see how their lives had crossed so many times before that point and how they influenced the shaping of the American government.
I've really been trying to work on my time-management, which is why this was my most recent audio book, but I didn't feel everything in here was totally adaptive. Still, there was a lot of good advise and methods in here. 👍
I LOVED this book! In this autobiography, Nabeel is so open, so honest, and so real. Giving insights on his family life growing up as a Muslim and his journey to finding truth in Jesus, Nabeel lets his readers see God's love from a different perspective.
Side note: Nabeel Qureshi has since gone on to be with the God he came to know as his own...What a story and testimony. ❤

Found nearly a whole series by Bodie and Brock Theone today at a book sale plus a couple of biographies and The Atonement Child by Francine Rivers. So excited! 😍
Just joined the book club at my college library! Hopefully this will keep my book life active. 😉 Everyone is talking about the freezing weather and here in the Carolinas people are wearing tshirts and shorts! 😌 What a beautiful day God has made! 💕

This was my first book by Tosca Lee, and, although I am interested in Biblical and historical fiction, this book wasn't highly impressive to me. It was an easy read and intreaguing, but I found some of the assumptions a little strange. Overall, not a bad read, but not my fave.
I'm kind of backtracking here, but I realized there were a few book reviews I had yet to cover. 👍
Honestly, The Screwtape Letters, is my personal favorite book and most likely will be my new go-to. Written in letters between two demons vying for a man's soul, C.S. Lewis combines his somewhat fantastical writing style and his deep spirituality to create an entertaining yet starkly spiritual and knowledgeable read.
So, I'm not a romance novel reader, but this book is a definite exception! 💕 A godly young lady and missionary's daughter, Adelina is commanded to marry the heathen ruler when he falls in love with her and she can only trust that God has a plan and He will protect her. Read this book to find out how an impossible and horrid situation brings love and redemption to Adelina and everyone around her! (Based on a true story)
Letting my family socialize while I wait in the car with my latest audio book 😉
Other than a few inappropriate areas (I do have quite a strict reading standard, though ☺) this book was wonderfully enthralling! Jennifer Ryan explores the lives of the individuals of Chilbury and the readers discover how events can completely change people's lives, how love can have affect in the strangest ways, and, most of all, how we can endure hardships through our relationships with each other.
Finally sitting down to read after what feels like a long day with my Mom in our sun-room (in her cast) resting her foot. Caught her in the kitchen this afternoon when I got home attempting to wash dishes while in a wheelchair. 😰
Looking forward to youth Bible study tomorrow! ❤

I don't normally read "new-age" biographies, but I really had a lot of fun with this book. ☺ It was funny, cute, and (for myself) very relatable. It showed the reality (both the many struggles and triumphs) of the lives and marriage behind our beloved "Fixer Upper" couple...definitely reccomend for an enjoyable weekend read. ?

Well..was out of town this weekend and got news my mom had slipped and broke her ankle. It's broken in multiple places, bone fragments are scattered and surgery is necessary. Right now I'm waiting in the hospital doing some Bible reading....Fellow, Litens, I am TIRED! 😬
"Action is the life of virtue, and the world is the theatre of action."

What would it be like to be the archaeologist that makes the find that will essentially destroy the faith and hope of millions around the world and turn you into the most hated person living in civilization. That is the world of the main character, Anna; will she be able to hold on to her faith?
An easy and quick Christian novel exploring themes like faith, God's will and the willingness of men to give up what they treasure under trial.
It is so wonderful to be reminded, in this crazy hectic world, of the good in people, even in times of hate and war. The kind of good that give people no desire to continue a war and that honors a celebration revered by many for the love it brings.

"Thus Christmas, the celebration of Love, managed to bring mortal enemies together as friends for a time."

So excited for some new books to add to my tbr this next year! Looking forward to my A.W. Tozer reads and it was so sweet of my brother to pick up Joanne Gaine's cookbook that he knew I wanted (I may have hinted a bit 😉 ) Hope everyone had a great Christmas!
