This is a debut novel about college life that is both incredible and prescient. Isabel goes off to school with no idea of the joys—and horrors—lurking on campus. This is one of those books that Florin describes as “crawling inside” and “taking up residence” in your soul. It‘s both heartbreaking and heartwarming!

His daughter was in my class at Duke (never crossed paths), and apparently this was based on her time there. I haven‘t read it, but I don‘t think it‘s one of his more popular novels. It‘s been on my TBR forever just for the connection.

This is another random audiobook I borrowed from the library, but it was not a winner for me. I lost interest quickly after the narrator made a big deal out of being 20 and never having kissed or had sex before. That's always a killer for my interest in a story because I've never considered it all that necessary. The first hour failed to capture my interest after losing it so quickly. #collegelife
