Kite Runner (Anniversary) | Khaled Hosseini

I can‘t believe it took me so long to read this book. The Kite Runner is such a spectacular book that made my heart hurt in the best kind of way. I highly recommend this book. I‘m already looking forward to being able to read it again someday.

knittedgnome I very much enjoyed this book. I was surprised that I loved A Thousand Splendid Suns even more. 2y

I listened to the audio of this book and it left me knowing for sure that I am meant to be best friends with Amy Poehler. This book was everything I thought it would be plus so much more! I can not recommend this book enough. If I could rate this book higher than 5 stars I would, by a lot.

ReadZenRites That‘s a well written memoir if you finish it and still want the author as a BF! 😊👏🏻🎉 2y

The Circle | Dave Eggers

This is a terrifying book because it‘s so easy to imagine our world becoming the Circle and that thought scares me. This was just a fantastic book and I can‘t recommend it enough. It will really make you rethink social media, all the things you post and loving life behind a screen.

RaimeyGallant This sounds terrifying! :) 2y

I wasn‘t sure if I was going to like this book but I found it very endearing. It made me think a lot about my grandpa who fought in the Vietnam war and helped me see things on a different flight.

This was such a fun and funny book! I listened to the audio just because Stephen Fry narrates and it was as amazing as I thought it‘d be. I now can‘t wait to read the next book in this series.

Ender's Game | Orson Scott Card

This book has been recommended to me by many people and usually I‘m left disappointed once I read the book. They never live up to the hype. This book didn‘t quite meet my expectations but I did like it. I can understand why people enjoy this series so much.

This was such a good book! I enjoyed the character development and the writing style. I love that at the end of every chapter there are recipes, some sound so yummy that I‘m slightly tempted to find a full recipe (with measurements) and make them.

Carrie | Stephen King

This is Stephen King‘s first novel and it‘s just as great as his newer stuff. I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. The writing style is a bit different and it take me a little while to figure it out.

He has done it again, this book has been bumped up into my top 10 favorites. I had the hardest time putting this book down, it's and edge of your seat story and I couldn't read it fast enough. Every time I thought I knew where the story was going, the next chapter would change everything and I was left guessing on what would happen next and how would it end. This is a truly incredible and well written this book.

Against All Silence | E. C. Myers

The sequel was just as great as the first book. I‘m hoping that there will someday be a third book because I‘m dying to know what happens yet.
Against All Silence is a compelling, fast-paced, edge of your seat story. This book is filled with twists and turns, you‘re never sure which direction the book is going and as soon as you think you think you‘re finally heading in the right direction, the story takes a sharp left.
Very well written.

I greatly enjoyed this book. A lot of work went into it, finding the origin stories for each fantastic beast, who all believes in them and telling all the locations where they are found.
The book talks a bit about Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, where the ideas for creatures/characters come from and where they got character names.
I‘d recommend this book if you like mythology and/or like learning about these kind of beasts.
