Something tells me I love Stephen King, hmmm... But I am not sure what... Can you see it? (This is only a selection of his books I own) Hahahah! If you are wondering what is the other language, it is French, mes amies. Do you read Stephen King? #horror #stephenking

Mistermandolin I read Stephen King a lot. Since way back. I read Salem‘s Lot in about 1976 and I‘ve been hooked ever since! What‘s your favourite? 4y
CatGV @Mistermandolin Really? Awesome! Wow, I wish I had read it when it came out but alas, I wasn‘t born. Dammit. So far I really love Carrie, It and The Shining. But I have always had a soft spot for Carrie, and reading the book makes it even greater... So I would go with her. ;) Are you reading his latest releases? 4y
Mistermandolin @CatGV I‘m hoping to read everything by him but I‘ve not yet read anything from The Outsider onwards. I‘m told that The Institute is very good. Have you read that? By the way: I loved Carrie. I‘m a writer myself - fiction and non-fiction - and find King truly inspirational. 4y

I believe that even though his fiction style doesn't appeal to me, he has a few things to teach me about writing. There were few essays about the writing world. Though, I enjoyed it greatly! His nonfiction is excellent! It's honest, straightforward, vulnerable and funny. It's charming in his own way. It was fun to see what made up this author and he got us close to several celebrities in different fields. It was like a “behind-the-scenes“ view.

This is the very first memoir I ever read and gosh did it make me travel to Italy! The writing is immersive, elegant and personal and true. I feel in Cortona myself! Her descriptions are genial. She tells of food, people, places and activities. It‘s a melting pot of great Italian stuff. It made me check out the rest of her books from the library. LOVE it!!!

This is hands-down my favorite writing craft book! (French)

Gilbert not only provides insight into being an author, but into being any creative, too.

She packs it with anecdotes, thoughts and mindsets to try out. It's not your usual writing craft book. It's more about creativity itself and how to embrace it with all your might!

P.S.: I lent it to my mom and it's genuinely helping her get a prototype ready for her business. Isn't that amazing?!

YES! I must say ”All the feels!” This novel was a great ride through time and love thanks to the many memories written in separate chapters. The ending is both painful and truthful. While the MC is depressed for most of the book, it‘s there for good reasons. Such an emotional and lovely read. I will forever recommend it!

The sentence in italics means in French: “my work of art loves me as much as I love it.” It struck me as beautiful and possibly true for us, writers and other creators.

I love when books talk about heresy and heretics and this one didn‘t disappoint! While it was sometimes slow, I bet it was carefully planned for us to get attached to Nell (the MC) and her granny because I truly did. They are so sweet and lovable though persecuted. Also, the ending...! It left me baffled and wanting more. Questioning, too. But the author made sure I would remember it even in my old days. I recommend it without a doubt!

The whole book was entertaining. I loved Audrey Rose and Thomas‘s bickering and slowburn but cute romance! It really added to the story. However, it kept dragging towards the end... it showed that the author meant to make the suspense last and it was kind of annoying. Also, another (mad) killer who is close to Audrey Rose? Isn‘t that too coincidental and redundant? I think so. All in all, I am still up for the sequel!

I am in awe at this baby! First, the cover is glorious. Then, Sherlock Fucking Holmes and Irene Awesome Adler‘s daughter?! Working with Watson‘s own son? I am ALL for it! I need to finish reading the Complete Sherlock Holmes Stories first (I read them all years ago though)...

Look at my two new babies! They‘re both fantasy and in past eras. I ordered ´´The Diabolical Miss Hyde ´´ two weeks ago and it came in today! As for ´´Worlds of Ink and Shadow‘´, it tells the story of the #Brontë sisters and their writing. I have been looking at it for a month and now had the money for it. I will let you know what I think once I have read them, darlings! #violacarr #lenacoakley

I simply love this series and the author‘s style! It‘s definitely one of my favorites. I went to buy sweet #macarons this week and I noticed their colours fitted with these particular books! Also, I love black coffee (I am living life at the fullest, haha!) and there is an extra in there too—can you find it? Yes, it‘s a little maple syrup leaf! It‘s so good and it‘s a Canadian treat (yes, I am a proud Canadian!). I hope you like it!

Look at my most recent trip to the #bookstore! I have wanted to read these three for a long while now and I could never find them. Surprise! They were all there, waiting for me on the shelves, at the same time! I knew I couldn‘t leave these lovelies behind. :)
