Thanks to a couple Litsians, I found out about and bought the Tolkien Biography, and thus led to the History of the Hobbit !! 💚 was sad because I *thought* I was close to the end of my Journey Through Middle Earth with it being a couple chapters away from finishing the Silmarillion.... IT IS NOT SO!! #LeaveItToLitsy #ThanksLitsy

Broken Promise: A Thriller | Linwood Barclay

This was a #blameitonlitsy although really it should be #thankslitsy And more specifically thanksyou @Andrew65 totally forgotten how much I used to enjoy Linwood Barclay novels and this is a cracker. Great small town politics, a horrific crime and enough unsavoury folks to have you casting around for the guilty party. Off to pick up part two because what is a holiday for if not binge reading!

Andrew65 Great to hear you enjoyed it. 😊👍 Book 2 and 3 in the trilogy only get better. I strongly recommend not leaving much of a gap between the books as there are ongoing threads and characters across all three books. Enjoy. (edited) 2mo
Andrew65 Enjoy your holiday and I agree, just had two weeks holiday and it turned into a read fest! 2mo
Itchyfeetreader @andrew65 thanks I have making good inroads on book 2. When we travel we mostly tour but this time we are sitting doing nothing in a resort and it‘s giving me excellent reading time here in the shade ! 2mo

Who was it who posted about Serial Reader yesterday?? #blameitonLitsy #thanksLitsy
This is actually on my priority TBR for 2019, so this is a great way to get it in 😊

Caroline2 I love a bit of serial reader! Such a great idea isn‘t it! 👍🏻 5mo
JackOBotts I‘ve started to dip back in to my Serial Reader this year, as well. Happy reading! 5mo

Finally got to read the 1st book in this series, finding it in a Tokyo library. I get the high recommendations by my geek girls: a wizard solving crimes in a Potter-like universe where magic lives somewhat secretly alongside our reality with a regulatory counsel and the promise that all those other magical beings from stories also exist. I'm assuming the characters grow on you throughout the series. Just got book 2! #mommyreads #urbanfantasy

UrsulaMonarch I love that I JUST learned what #urban fantasy is from @VanChocStrawberry & @amandal, and I already see it pop up in my feed ! I'm sure I'll be noticing it all over the place now! #ThanksLitsy #themoreyouknow 1y
alanacristin @UrsulaMonarch i find that happens all the time on Litsy ❤ what a fun community! 1y
ReadingOver50 Good series 1y
AmandaL @UrsulaMonarch It's a fun genre with a dedicated fan base! @alanacristin I started this series years ago. I read several books in, but I think there have been a bunch more since I last read it. I hope you enjoy! 1y

I‘ve decided to display my TBR a little more creatively! I‘ll color in the spines as I read them, which hopefully will help motivate me to read them🙃📚🧡 #tbr #reading #thankslitsy

Born.A.Reader I would love to do this -except I rearrange my shelves too often so I'd have to draw a new picture every week! Such a cute idea though! 2y
TheLibrarian Great idea! 2y
Cailey_Mac I saw someone else do this, and I loved the idea! I figured it would visually motivate me a little more 🙃 1y

I'm no good with lots of tech and I can't commit to journaling so I make lists. Here's my old school index card catalog of books I've read since 2007. 10 books on each card, 2 kids in between and I've already read as many books at this point in 2017 as I read in all of 2016! #ThanksLitsy #blameitonlitsy #mytribe #noyourockandyouknowthat

I started this last night, just because my loan is going to expire soon and I wanted to see if it was worth trying to get it read quickly.

I ended up staying up way too late because I couldn't put it down. Very good so far! 😃

LectricSheep It was one of my absolute favorite books last year!!! ❤️I'm glad you're enjoying it. Do you have a favorite character/species so far? 😀 2y
sprainedbrain @LectricSheep I'm only 14% in, but Sissix and Dr. Chef are fascinating! 2y

I really enjoyed this audiobook. I've decided I'm a late-blooming #AustenFanGirl (#thanksLitsy !)
I watched the tv miniseries yesterday and, though I enjoyed it, I felt the changes they made weren't necessary.

I've only recently started reading poetry ( #thankslitsy ) and my library doesn't have much to offer, but I enjoyed this collection. My mom's family is from the Detroit area and worked in the car and steel industry around the same time he writes about, so it was a bit like traveling back in time with Mimi again. #poetry
