April Reads
I was reading this for #BookedInTime when the details started to seem familiar. Checked LibraryThing and turns out I had read it in 2014. According to my review I was just meh on it then too so I‘m moving on.
Love in a Fallen City was the first in the Eileen Chang Author Spotlight group read. An interesting author to meet for the first time and quite unlike any other writer I‘ve read. Two stunning short stories, the rest were novella length and good but not brilliant imo.

Sitting on the back deck of our new place with my « on deck » book pile for the weekend! I am quite pleased with this group, and am very curious about Solenoid. Happy weekend, all!
This was a fun heist story!
The premise is basically Crazy Rich Asians meets Ocean‘s Eight, which I loved. The plot is essentially a mashup of the two. I thought the story was super entertaining and amusing. I wasn‘t shocked at any of the twists and turns at the end because it was slightly reminiscent of Ocean‘s Eight‘s heist.

Such an interesting concept, but I'm still trying to wrap my head around some of it. If Cloud Atlas was Asian and more linear (or backwards linear??).
A few really good ones, a lot of good ones, and a few disappointments. I read all three of my February #aardvark choices in the month of February! 🎉🎉
