#setinyourcountry I was born in New York, lived in England from 2-12, Costa Rica from 12-19, then various States in the US from 19 to today. I currently live in MA so will use this as my "home" state.

respekt1111 I went through a rollercoaster of love, hate, awe, bafflement, admiration, disgust, exhaustion...This book will test you, but it's truly unforgettable. I don't regret reading it. 7y

Murder in Dilworth | Sheila Huntington

#setinyourcountry is easy. #setinyourcity is surprisingly difficult (I know because I had trouble finding anything that looked remotely appealing to me for the read harder challenge of within 100 miles of where you live). Mom bought this book by a local author, but said it was so awful she actually DNF. 😳I'm hoping to find an alternative for the challenge. We don't always agree, but she rarely DNFs, and I trust her judgement. #readjanuary

DGRachel @carrieonwayward Yes! The only other books I could find were either nonfiction or book #3 or later of a series by Kathy Reichs. Since this is for a challenge and my TBR is already out of control, I didn't want to have to read two extra books just to get to #3 and I hate reading series out of order. 😳 7y

carrieonwayward @DGRachel - see if you can find Dry Grass of August by Anna Jean Mayhew. I read it several years ago, it takes place in Charlotte in the 1950s. A little bit in the same vein as The Help, although not as good. It wasn't a GREAT book, but it was alright. 7y
