I have SO many books to choose from for #setinalibrary, but I'll go with this one since I haven't seen it mentioned yet! Central to the plot is a sealed cache of T.S. Eliot's letters, not to be read until a date decades in the future. It explores fascinating ideas about public vs. private writings, and what readers should or shouldn't have access to. Pair with a read of Possession by A.S. Byatt... also #setinalibrary. #seasonsreadings2016

mhillis This sounds good📚📚🤓 7y

Couldn't resist sharing the #NYPL lions (this one is Fortitude) in all their festive finery for today's #seasonsreadings challenge. They are, after all, #setinalibrary.

PS: the Fitzgerald book I tagged is pretty good too!

In this book #SetInALibrary a librarian takes on the City Council in a battle to save her library from being shut down. This charming book was a nice change of pace and shows all the different ways a library can be the heart of a community! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Also, reading this, I couldn't help but miss The Put Your Foot Down Book Club! We only lasted about a year, but so many great times were had! 📚💕

I loved it!! Finished it in one sitting (when I should have been writing a paper). Great strong female lead and loved Lord Nicholas! Also some steamy #setinalibrary scenes 🔥#seasonsreadings2016 #romantsy

jpmcwisemorgan Write a paper, read a book. I mean, how can you chose? 😉 7y
EloisaJames @jpmcwisemorgan write a page, read a chapter? (Suggests--cough--a prof; it works for grading papers!) 7y
jpmcwisemorgan @EloisaJames That could work! 😉 7y

I've got a bunch of books in my head that are #setinalibrary or #setinabookstore, but this is the only one I can find on my shelves. That's what happens when the majority of your reading comes from the library. #seasonsreadings2016

Librarianaut That book is fab!! 7y
sammisho One of my favorite series! 7y

#SeasonsReadings2016 #SetInALibrary I picked that part for Breakfast at Tiffany's where Holly goes to the library. "She sat behind her dark glasses and a fortress of literature she'd gathered at the desk."

"Let me tell you something, funny boy. You know that little stamp? The one that says New York Public Library? Well, that may not mean anything to you, but that means a lot to me. Sure, go ahead, laugh if you want to. I've seen your type before. Flashy, making the scene, flaunting convention. Yeah, I know what you're thinking. Why's this guy making such a big stink about old library books?" - Lt. Bookman

Not my favorite story, but it's shudder-worthy and happens to be #SetInALibrary. #seasonsreadings2016

These contain two of the most fascinating and imaginative visions of libraries I have encountered. Love them both for being wild & wonderful libraries, but sadly not real...yet.

RealLifeReading Oops meant to add more before I hit send. But is this a good one to start? 7y
elkeOriginal @RealLifeReading Start with Sabriel, then Lirael, then Abhorsen - those are his best and a trilogy in that order. Enjoy! 7y
