Just started this, trying to work on my #tbr pile. It's a strange book, trying to figure out what's going on. In a good way though! More intriguing than frustrating.

Josee.lit.a.lu.et.lira What a singular premise. Thanks for the highlight, 📚 for me 🙂 4y

September Reads :- Almost the entire month spent chipping away at Ducks and it feels good to have that one done ✅. However my standout for September is the tagged book, from the Booker shortlist and I have already raved about that extensively. I enjoyed my time spent with the Atwoods but I think October needs to be a refocus on #ReadHarder another 6 books to go !

Cathythoughts I was wondering about Quichotte .... I‘d like to give it a go. Must read The Testaments as it‘s our next Bookclub book 4y
Billypar I've been meaning to ask someone- have you read Don Quixote, and if so, is there a lot to appreciate in Quichotte as far as DQ references that make it a better reading experience? 4y

thebluestocking You‘re a machine for making it through Ducks! 💙 4y
Redheadrambles @billypar I had not read it but yes I would say if you had you would get even more out of this book but there is plenty to grapple with anyway- it is a mental workout! 4y
Redheadrambles @thebluestocking i decided to tackle it at 25 pages a day and it took me a month - it‘s totally doable 😉 4y
Billypar That makes sense- thanks! 'Mental workout'- yeah that sounds about right for Rushdie 😁 4y
thebluestocking @Redheadrambles Ooh. I love the slow and steady approach. 4y

This wasn't that good of a reading month for me. I'm not sure why, but I got into a big reading slump all throughout September.

I only read 5.
The Hazel Wood, Grace & Fury, The Knife of Never Letting Go, The Selection, and Royal Bastards.
4 print books and 1 ebook.
Grace & Fury, Knife of Never, and Royal Bastards were 5🌟, The Selection was 4🌟, The Hazel Wood was 3🌟.
Longest was Knife of Never, shortest was Grace & Fury.
Total pages: 1879

Bookaholicforlife I gave the hazel wood about the same rating 5y

InBooksILive @Bookaholicforlife yeah it just fell flat for me! It had so much great hype around it, too. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 5y
Bookaholicforlife @InBooksILive I agree! I loved the beginning and end but everything in between was just blah for me. It‘s sad cause I really thought I was going to love it. 5y
InBooksILive @Bookaholicforlife those are the parts I liked too, beginning and ending but like you said the middle was just ughh! So disappointed about it 5y
Bookaholicforlife @InBooksILive I understand. I hope the books you read next are better. 5y

September wasn‘t a good month for me bookwise due to some person stuff.

20 total books read to completion-
Of the 20...
6 were short graphic novels/comics
3 were children‘s picture books
11 were adult/YA

19 ebooks
1 audio

3 addtl ebooks in process at end of Sept ...
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Lord of the Rings: Two Towers
The Turn of the Screw

My 4 fave reads of Sept are marked w/ ⭐️s on the pic.

TrishB That's still a good month 👍 6y

monkeygirlsmama @TrishB @Andrew65 @Ms_T @bookish22 lol Thanks, I suppose it is; I just had hopes of finishing/getting to a few others. All the same, I‘m glad I got to read when I did. 😁 6y
Andrew65 @monkeygirlsmama I think that sums a lot of us up (including me in September), we'd like to have got to more! 6y
