⭐️⭐️⭐️ Story of the world‘s wealthiest woman and the man she gave hundreds of millions of Euros to, maybe willingly, maybe by being taken advantage of. Lots of interesting bits, but also lots of details that could be hard to follow.

Due to the way some of the story is told I think print would have been better than audio. But I enjoyed the book a lot!
I'm almost halfway through this monster of a novel. I was able to find an audio version on YouTube, luckily. Decent book full of #drama and #scandal, which fueled my run, cleaning day, and Christmas decorating yesterday. Hoping today will be the same. Definitely don't want to lose momentum and end up DNFing this one.

PS, the decapitated duck isn't meant to be artsy or symbolic. A two year old threw it against the wall.

We're back with the classic baseball book, Eight Men Out. The casual baseball fan is probably familiar with the 1919 Black Sox scandal but doesn't know all the details.
We discuss the events of the book as well as today's mix of gambling and sports and how things have changed and stayed the same. Enjoy!

This one had me surprised to find out who was behind exposing her secrets!
I don‘t see why Notes On A Scandal didn‘t make a bigger splash. The subject matter is repellent, of course, but it‘s an intense and fascinating read with superbly crafted characters, each and every one of them delightfully hateful. Well paced, cleverly choreographed, guaranteed to stay with you. Full review: https://keepingupwiththepenguins.com/notes-on-a-scandal-zoe-heller/
#IndelibleMoments #Grace published in September of 1956 , it rocketed up the bestseller list. When this edition was published in 65 it probably was the bestselling paperback of all time.It was banned , it‘s a book you hid from your parents! It was a film , it was a TV show .I read it as a youngster and definitely hid it from my parents.😂This old paperback in nice shape.
I can only recall reading 2 #LetterV books ava, since Verity gets quite a bit of traffic here, decided to go with this one. #Alphabetgame @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
