Happy Tuesday! Here are the #Two4Tuesday questions today. Everyone is welcome to play along!

I am going to answer question #2 first and tell you what prompted these questions. In the tag book, one of the characters states there should have been a "Wife 101" instead of Algebra in high school because he never used Algebra but sure need the other. Funny dialog, but it got me to thinking. Everyone should know how to make a budget, balance a checkbook

TheSpineView Check the oil and tire pressure in a car, sew a button on a shirt, etc. Do they still teach the Dewey Decimal system or how to properly alphabetize files? Thought this would be an interesting prompt. Have a great day! @Eggs @dabbe @The_Penniless_Author @RamsFan1963 @peaKnit @BookmarkTavern @IndoorDame @TieDyeDude @Ruthiella 3w

"Sometimes, when I'm driving alone, I go into what I call the 'road coma', where I suddenly become acutely aware that I have no recollection of the past, say, twenty or so miles of driving."

Pickpick

This was a soft pick for me. The story had a lot of potential but needed a bit more development for my tastes and the ending was rushed. I liked the characters a lot and that is always the best part of any book. 3 ⭐️

This is the first book in the Ashes & Embers series. I started in the middle of the series so it is actually the 3rd book I read. I liked this one too but it is not my favorite. I was not totally liking Evelyn. I don't want to include any spoilers but if you read this one you will understand. 3.5ish ⭐️

Make Me Sin | J T Geissinger
Pickpick

This is an emotional roller coaster, OMG. So many ups and downs I was dizzy, and overall the tone was a melancholy one. Still an engrossing story, and I loved the characters, who were more real and authentic than the previous book. A good read, and I did enjoy it. On to the next in the series!

Sweet As Sin | J. T. Geissinger
Pickpick

Phew! This book was INTENSE, with a lot of serious tension, with a thriller as a secondary plot and a lot of surprises along the way. I saw a lot of them coming, but they were enjoyable enough regardless. Quality spice, although I‘m not sure how the two MCs decided they liked each other, when they spent a lot of time yelling at each other. Passion is passion, I guess?

Sunday reading with snuggly Penny.

I‘m so impressed with Cait Nary‘s range, y‘all. She‘s great at high stress romances (SEASON‘S CHANGE), adorable romcoms (LUCKY BOUNCE), and stuff like this, which slides into that sweet spot where there‘s SOME stress for the characters but it‘s mostly about them, like, finding their way through a scenario they hoped they could avoid but are actually coping with really well. IT‘S SO GOOD. Bring on the back half.

This was my #TitlesAndTunes #GuiltyPleasure and it absolutely was a pleasure. Not as hockey heavy as the first in the series, but a lovely slow burn #romantsy. Great stuff!

#TitlesAndTunes #GuiltyPleasure

So my definition of a guilty pleasure is things I enjoy without thinking they are in any way objectively good.

I love a hockey romance, especially a romance between hockey players - no literary value, no new ideas or things to learn, just the warm & fuzzies & bit of smut doesn‘t go amiss 😆

The song is one I absolutely hated when it was released - annoyingly catchy rubbish pop🤮 When I hear it now I sing along 😎

BarbaraBB Fab post! I read that one hockey romance and loved it too 🥰 11mo
Cinfhen Need to listen to the song and might need to try a hockey romance! That does sound like good fun 🤩 ⛸️🏒🥅 11mo
LeahBergen A bit of smut! 👍😆 11mo

Centique Oh my god I love that song 😂😂😂 I was just looking at the playlist going “I wonder who posted Counting the Beat, how cool are they?” Of course it was you! 😘 11mo
Centique Didn‘t realise it was another Kiwi band until just now! Thought it was an Aussie one. 11mo
CarolynM @Centique But so very uncool in 1981 🤣 11mo
erzascarletbookgasm I don‘t know the song 🎵 will look it up! 11mo
Centique Oh dear! I‘ve just seen that the new Brandon Taylor book I preordered for you isn‘t getting very good reviews on Litsy! Oh well, the second book is lovely 🤞😘 10mo
Rissreads You do know this song is about masterbation? 🤣 10mo
CarolynM @Rissreads No I did not 😱 and I don‘t think I wanted to…🤣 10mo

Holy mother of DIRTY TALK. I didn't realize Jaine had a new book coming out this month, but sheesh do I love her universe filled with too-good-to-be-true rockstars. In this book, we finally learn more about what makes bad boy Johnny O tick. It's not in the Litsy database, so tagging the first Dirty book bc it's the best place to start (Dirty, The Players, and *then* Vancity Villians). The interconnected friendships make way more sense in order!
