The It Girl | Ruth Ware
post image
Pickpick

I didn‘t expect to like this, judging by the mixed reviews for the author in general when Littens were chatting about #aam.

However, I really enjoyed it, and didn‘t guess the culprit. (I kept coming up with ideas and each time there was a twist, I though ‘ha!‘ but no….)

I think listening to it on audio helped, I don‘t think I‘d have enjoyed it so much in print as it felt quite long, but I did a lot of driving this week.

Cinfhen This was an Audio ARC for me and it was ok better than some of her other novels, but definitely dragged a bit too much. 13mo

Ruthiella I might use this for the same prompt for #pop23. I‘ve not really liked any of the Ruth Ware books I‘ve yet read, however. They are quick and entertaining but the protagonist usually rubs me the wrong way with their dumb decisions. 😬 13mo
AmyG Same here. I wasn‘t sure I‘d like it. I listened on audio, too and thought it was one person throughout most of the book only to find out I was wrong! 😂 13mo
Librarybelle I have not picked up this one yet…so far, the books I‘ve read by her I‘ve liked. 13mo
Caroline2 Oh good! Im planning on starting this next after Bandit Queens (which I‘m starting tonight 👍) 13mo
Cortg I‘ve enjoyed her books. Haven‘t read this one yet. Thanks for the review! 13mo
Megabooks I‘m listening now, and I‘m not feeling it yet, but I‘m only two hours in. Church is one of my fave Brit narrators! 13mo
squirrelbrain It did start off slowly @Megabooks - hope it picks up for you soon. 🤞 13mo
