I really enjoyed this book. I read it in a day. The banter was great and the way the two MC treated each other was so empathetic. Very refreshing that the hero didn‘t have to be strong and virile all the time to get a reader to root for him. I want to read more!!! #BookSpin #12 #BFC23 #MMDSpringBookPreview #Rushathon #ReadySetRead #BookChain #SociallyDistancedBookClubAtoZ #ReadtheStates #BBRC Once Bitten, Twice Shy

I borrowed this book from our local library as one of my Random Picks last month and finished it today. It was entertaining and cute as well as unexpectedly touching. I love Madeline a.k.a. Gwen Hathaway and her bard friend, Arthur. A good summer read! #50 #BookSpin #15, #BFC23, #MagnificentMay, #ReadySetRead, #SayMyName, #ReadtheStates Oklahoma

A great way to start #ARCApril! I finished the Ramona Collection by Beverly Cleary! I loved listening to Stockard Channing narrate the Ramona books. She did a great job. Ramona‘s story is so cute. You never know what she‘s going to do next. LOL #36 #BookSpin #19 (I used one slot for both books) #BFC23 #SERIESLOVE2023 #ARCApril #ReadtheStates Oregon

Had to get this one in for March! A quick audiobook - 3 hours - but so entertaining to me. I have to laugh at the girls in their skirts & blouses and their sweater sets. The story is fun and there are bad guys and twists! #34 #BookSpin 3 BFC23 #SERIESLOVE2023 #MarchMadness #MiddleGradeMarch #ReadySetRead #Buzzword2023 #ReadtheStates

I see this book has mixed reviews, but I loved it.

It‘s a strange family drama with a spiritual/ magical/ supernatural twist? These characters came to life for me. I felt the tension of Noa‘s gift and his fear of disappointing his family. I related to the feelings his siblings had of not being the Golden child, but trying to do their best to be supportive in the ways they could. It‘s easy to see how a strain like this could pull a family apart.

Soubhiville @Hooked_on_books thank you for choosing this book for me, I really liked it! And it completes my #readthestates challenge! Second attempt at #Hawaii 3y
Hooked_on_books You‘re welcome! I listened to the audio of this one and really liked it, too. The author really captured Hawaii well. 3y
shawnmooney I hope I love it too! I‘ll be buddy reading it with my cousin who is really into 🦈s, in the next month or two. Fingers crossed! 3y

Wren is sent to an 8 week camp in the wild Utah desert to learn to fight her addictions and come to grips with the anger issues she‘s been fighting for several years.

This is a great middle grade/ YA read. I was rooting for Wren and her co-campers the whole way through. It was easy to empathize with their struggles. 👍👍

Not a terrible cozy mystery; it takes place in a bookstore, so that was fun. I did not enjoy the cheesy old-timey detective lingo. References to women as dames and dolls, legs as gams, and some casual racism. I thought the murder was pretty easy to figure out, too. (Full disclosure- I don‘t usually read cozies)

Chosen for my #RhodeIsland book for #readthestates.

I chose this for my #Nebraska book for #readthestates and I‘m glad I did. I really liked it! I think this is only my second by Patchett, but I‘ve liked both of them so I‘ll definitely read more in the future.

Litsy was totally right, this book was great! If you haven‘t read it yet, the audiobook was terrific.

I chose this one for #readthestates #NorthDakota, and I‘m really glad I did.

The audio is read by the author, which was perfect. It‘s a historical account of Crazy Horse‘s life as passed down orally through traditional stories of his people. Marshall tells of the old ways of the Lakota and Dakota and how things changed as the first white people appeared, right through when the last of the land was taken from the indigenous tribes. Amazing book!

Addison_Reads Great review! I can't wait to read this now. 3y
