I love this! I hope everyone on Litsy posts their answer to this question, because I like hearing people talk about their favorite things ❤
@TheNeverendingTBR #myfavbook

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn always captivates me from page 1, makes me sob uncontrollably at a certain point, and transports me to early 1900's Brooklyn. It so accurately captures the freedom and joy (and sometimes confusion and terror) of being a kid. It's brilliant!

Bookwormjillk Good pick! 3y
Curiouser_and_curiouser Cloudstreet by Tim Winton. I have a few faves but this is my most recent. I also loved The Happiest Refugee by Anh Do. He is such a terrific author, my 2 young girls love his Junior Fiction books atm. 3y

I am as basic and predictable as they come but the answer is Pride and Prejudice. It thrilled my preteen heart when I first read it and I‘ve loved it ever since. Alternatively, I could answer with The B Book by Stan and Jan Berenstain since that was the first book I ever read and it opened up the world of books for me in a way nothing else ever had. #myfavbook

Thanks for asking @TheNeverendingTBR

TheNeverendingTBR I'll need to read this ✅ 3y

I read this book 15 years ago when it first came out. The first time I read I had never heard of Bipolar Disorder. Years later after learning more about it I had to reread it. The characters never left me, even after the first read. The events in the book never left me. I was in awe and couldn‘t believe stuff like that happened in family‘s. #MyFavBook

TheNeverendingTBR Thanks for playing along! 💫 3y

When someone asks you "What's your fav book?"

Which book do you say? And what makes that particular book special enough to take the top spot?

#MyFavBook @TheNeverendingTBR ??

TheDaysGoBy I can‘t ever answer this question with just one book. It‘s too hard! 😂 3y
TNbookworm Wow, this is a hard question! I would have to say The Hobbit because it is the first book that totally transported me into the pages of a story. But I also love The Stand for the very same reason🙂 3y
julesG Just one? I can't name just one book. I'll pick my favourite read of 2020 3y

TheNeverendingTBR @TheDaysGoBy I completely understand, I've just always said The Stand by Stephen King; followed by 1984 by George Orwell and On The Road by Jack Kerouac. So if you want to do it @julesG and add a few of your favourites then feel free, I'll have to stack Gideon the Ninth! 👌 3y
TheNeverendingTBR @TNbookworm The Hobbit is one of my comfort reads, such a great one!! 💫 3y
Jess861 That is such a tough question. Although I have many favourites I think I'd go with The Giver by Lois Lowry. This is because it was the first book I read as an older child which transitioned me from childrens books to young adult books. I really enjoyed it when I read it the first time (and still do) so I think it helped ensure my love of reading continued on past childhood. 3y
TheNeverendingTBR @Jess861 I've heard of this book but I know nothing about it, I'll need to read the summary and see if I'd like it; thanks! 😊 3y
MrT Yup. What a question! I could never limit myself to one favourite. I think my love of reading, and reading fantasy starts from reading TLTW&TW BY CS Lewis at a young age and has most definitely shaped my reading choices over my life, so if I have to say just one.... 3y
MrT As an adult I would have to say Magician and the entire RiftWar Saga by Raymond E Feist 3y
TheNeverendingTBR @MrT The Magicians Nephew by CS Lewis was one of my first reads ever 3y
Jess861 @TheNeverendingTBR It is a dystopian book and a fairly quick read since it is for older children or younger teens. 3y
TheNeverendingTBR @Jess861 Stacked! 📚✅ 3y
mrp27 Depends on who is asking and why. My favorite this year that I read for the first time is 3y
Cathythoughts My fave book ... at the moment... is Hamnet ❤️. And can I also say as Mr Crumble is your pet , that I will try to like him ... 👍🏻❤️ 3y
TheNeverendingTBR @mrp27 Who's asking and why 😂 ...well I guess I was wanting notified about any amazing reads I've not yet read and reads I've not heard about before 🤷‍♂️ 3y
TheNeverendingTBR @Cathythoughts I'll need to look into this one, thanks Cathy! 😁👌 3y
mrp27 🤣 ha ha!! What I meant to say was my recommendations would depend on the reader. One of my all time favorite reads is of course the Harry Potter series. 3y
JacqMac I can never answer this question. I need it narrowed down a lot more. Who wants to know? What genre? Of all time? This month? This year? I just can‘t. 😂 3y
Santie *Breathes heavily* 🙉 My favourite book is the last great book I‘ve read 😐😂. This is impossible to answer man! 3y
TheNeverendingTBR @JacqMac I guess I was just curious what everyone would put as theirs, then it turned out with people saying wtf dude, what kind of question is that? 😂 3y
Ast_Arslan Oh my... it's a quite difficult question 😂 I think I will answer 'The heart invisible furies'... once I finished this I immediately wanted to re-read it 😃 (love John Boyne) 3y
bookishbitch The unanswerable question. If I pick one I immediately think of another. Your tagged book The Stand is definitely one of my top picks. It was one of the 1st books I ever really lost myself in. The city of dreaming books is also up there. Simply because it is fantasticly whimsical but also all about the love of all things bookish. Some books are about timing. We love them because of what they gave us at that moment. Things to ponder. What is yours? 3y
TheRiehlDeal I'd have to go with The Lighning Thief. It was the first book I could remember getting lost in when I was in elementary school. And after reading it, I immediately wanted to read the other books in the series. But as for an "adult" book, I'd say The Book Thief. It was the first book I can remember squeezing in any time I could to read it. I also chose it for summer reading in high school. 3y
eeclayton If I really have to pick only one, then I'll choose High Fidelity. I re-read it several times, and regardless of my mood, worries and everything, I love it every time I pick it up. It's about music, human relationships, it has a self-reflective MC with an over-analytical mind, and a realistic ending, so it's all very relatable for me. Oh, and I love Hornby's humour. 3y
TheNeverendingTBR @Ast_Arslan I'll need to look this one up, I've heard of it but don't know what it's about 3y
TheNeverendingTBR @TheRiehlDeal I agree, this was a brilliant book! ✅ 3y
TheNeverendingTBR @eeclayton I've seen the movie about a 100 times but I've never read the book, I'm stacking it! ✅💫 3y
wisherwishinguponastar So... is it bad that my answer more depends on the person? If I am at work or if I am talking to a friend my answer will be very different. 3y
Ast_Arslan @TheNeverendingTBR It's difficult to do a recap that doesn't sound trivial 😅 it's a huge book full of events, soooo 3y
NicoleCeBallos @TheNeverendingTBR I change my answer all the time. Right now, it's 2001: A Space Odyssey 3y
TheNeverendingTBR @booksellerofyourdiscontent You raise a good point, because I do this too; like if a person is a big horror fan I'll say my favourite horror book - maybe to persuade them into reading it and discovering an awesome read 🙂 3y
TheNeverendingTBR @Ast_Arslan I'll need to check this one out, thank you! ✅ 3y
TheNeverendingTBR @NicoleCeBallos Is it bad that I've never read one of his books before? 😢 3y
Ast_Arslan @TheNeverendingTBR 👍 hope you'll like it! 3y
