#DivineDecember Day 23: While most people are familiar with the famous red-nosed Rudolph, very few may be aware of the significant role that Dasher played in forming Santa‘s posse of flying #reindeer(s) and how it all came about in the first place. This is the story of Dasher and his family, and how Santa came to meet them. My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-mP9

Eggs I LOVE ❤️ this book and cover. Well done 👍🏼 1mo

I took this photo during #wintergames2021 for a daily challenge and I am STILL in love with it. If it wasn‘t for copyright issues because of the book in it, I would TOTALLY use this as a Christmas card!!

Steven Kellogg creates amazing images to go along with this classic tall tale. Paul Bunyan has been adapted in so many different ways including into movies books and TV shows. This classic tale is given new life through this book. This book would make an amazing read aloud and could be connected to lots of extension activities.

Paul Bunyan | Steven Kellogg

Paul Bunyan is an American tall tale meant to focus on western expansion. The illustrations portray his larger than life actions and personality. As he tries to navigate through different situations his size often creates complications. The illustrations do an amazing job of showing the differences between Paul Bunyan and all of the people around him.

“Paul grabbed the camp dinner horn and blew a thunderous note into the Gumberoos‘ cave, determined to blast the meanness right out of them.“

I am so loving this series. I'm learning about some of the Gods that I don't know a lot about. Sadly, I only have a couple more to go. (The library doesn't have all of them)

shortsarahrose Does your library offer interlibrary loan? If they do, you might be able to borrow the other books from other libraries through your library! 2mo
persephone1408 @shortsarahrose Idk I'll have to ask 2mo
shortsarahrose It‘s a great service that a lot of public libraries offer but that a lot of patrons don‘t know about. Some libraries might charge a small shipping fee (mine never charges more than $5). You could also suggest they purchase the other books. Librarians are often pretty open to purchase requests (if reasonable) and since they have others in the series, that‘s a good sign. 2mo
