Hey Littens! Several of you (& my entire family)🤗have reached out to check on me with the Kilauea eruption on The Big Island so I thought I should post an update. I'm on Oahu, a few islands away & so far we have had no negative effects here. My thoughts & prayers are for everyone there. I have friends on the island-but no one in the communities that are having to evacuate.🙏🏻
Mahalo for thinking of me, it warms my ❤️& I'll keep you posted!

I first read Herb Kane (Ancient Hawai'i) when preparing for a two-week trip to the Big Island about six years ago--he was my favorite resource to understanding the islands (apart from my then-boyfriend and his family). I got PELE at the Jaggar Museum but waited entirely too long to read it! I loved the blend of lore, historical documentation, and personal experience, and I'm glad I never took any rock from Kīlauea. Sending shakas to Uncle Herb!
