I missed that we were doing #FridayNightShare again! For yesterday‘s #SpringNonFiction prompt, I‘m choosing the book. I think of spring as a time to clean & freshen up. I have had this book on my shelves for ages & still use many of her green cleaning tips & recipes including her Lavender-Lemon Disinfecting Spirits Spray & her essential oil combo list. 💚🌱🪻🍋💛

If you can‘t tell I‘m a little preoccupied with how messy my house is 🙃

I get amazed when I see all these people all of the things they clean daily or weekly on FB. I‘m horrible at cleaning, luckily I have a husband that cleans the bathrooms & we have a pretty even split of tasks. This is not really a how to clean book but more of a reminder to go easy on yourself. I think in a world of where we see all these images of perfection on social media it‘s hard to not feel overwhelmed. I also like how the author highlights

ncsufoxes some of the reasons why so many people can struggle with keeping up with care tasks. Also that some people may have negative connotations connected to cleaning. “shame is the enemy of functioning” I found her insights helpful & nice reminders to not worry about things always being perfect. #bookspin 3mo

Definitely a self-care and compassionate book.

Add me to the list of people who really enjoyed this book. It definitely reads as more of a self-help or self-care book than a cleaning book, but I really liked that about it. Specifically designed to work well for neurodivergent readers, I found it easy to read, and I can see myself going back to it at some point to refresh myself on what I learned. That said, I‘m glad it was a library book, because it‘s a #borrownotbuy for me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!

Everything in its place! Apparently #DannyBoy is school supplies now…which actually makes sense for our homeschool.

I‘ve been overwhelmed in recent months and am working on getting myself organized and functioning better. I hope to catch up on reviews over the next few days, without a full-on blast! Stay tuned to see what I‘ve been reading.

ravenlee @Ruthiella @RaeLovesToRead @dabbe @julesG @kspenmoll he‘s been kind of a terror the last two mornings, so when he was nosing around the cart I said fine, whatever will make you settle for two minutes! and I moved the bottom stuff. He did, in fact, stay for about two minutes, before resuming his terrorist antics. 4mo
