This is my son Griffin (also seen as The Grinch a couple of my posts back) reading to his son, Canon. Yesterday, he pulled a couple of his old picture books (think 1990‘s) from my shelves for Canon. All of a sudden I recalled the tagged stored in a bucket of our paperback picture books. What are the odds (even the spelling)!?

@CoverToCoverGirl

AmyG Awwwwww so sweet. My son reads my grandson his childhood truck books. Makes me smile with all the memories. 1y

marleed @Gissy @CoverToCoverGirl @Reggie @UwannaPublishme Thank you! It is fun to have grandbabies as the background of my pics these days! And I can‘t believe I‘ve had that book in my collection for some 30 years and then all of a sudden the title and it‘s significance just popped into my head. It took me all of 3 minutes to locate the book - and the look in my son‘s face when I handed it to him was priceless! 1y
DivineDiana Priceless indeed!❤️❤️📚 (edited) 1y
marleed @DivineDiana It‘s divine :). I found a used hard copy online (my copy is paperback) and had to take my chances and order it. It arrived quickly! It has library markings but is in very good condition. I can‘t wait to give it to my Griffin and Canon at Christmas. 1y

The final book of the Castle Glower series in which loose ends in the story are tied up by a journey to Prince Lulath's home and an adventure to find the unicorns.
Read for #booked2022 #anauticalnovel as Celie and her family build and travel via ship to the Well.

Part of the Castle Glower series. A griffin is born in the tower and the castle unveils the secrets it has been holding for so long.
This one ends on a cliffhanger, so it's a good thing I have the next book on hand.

Jones' books can be so gleefully madcap. I love how every single character has separate agency, and her descriptions of big noisy happy families are a relevation. Still, this particular one is a tangle of multiple vast plotline ideas and settings that I would have loved to see explanded, a series and not a novel. Beloved, but flawed. High pick.

I am posting one book per day from my to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new - don‘t judge me I have a lot of books.
Join the fun if you want. This is day 24.

Second time through this series! This one made me cry near the end. A lot happens in this installment, and it feels like the first 2/3 should be shorter and the last 1/3 stretched. Also, I HATE that this is the end of the series. There‘s so much more that could happen, and naming a series of five books after days of the week is bogus (not the author‘s choice for titles, but still...). I need Sunday and Monday!

1. I am an animal person, so I love both, but I seem to have a special understanding/kinship with dogs that I don‘t have with cats. 😅 🐕
2. My husband and I have five whole days off together to fix up the house and relax! ❤️😍❤️

In this third installment 3/5 Glower children, plus their two loyal friends and Celie‘s griffin, are stranded in a strange and dangerous world. They discover adventure is really just sleeping in uncomfortable places, not having enough food, and treachery. Griffins, griffin eggs, unhinged warring wizards, and lots and lots of secrets - adds up to a lot of fun with the kiddo.
