Episode 24 of @unabridgedpod, “More Ugly Tears from Jen: Robin Benway‘s Far from the Tree” is indeed titled after my state pretty much the entire time I read this book. I love it so much! Its three protagonists—siblings adopted into vastly different lives—each has a compelling (and tear-inducing!) arc. This #nationalbookaward winner is SO deserving. Can‘t wait to hear what you think!

I really enjoyed this one.
I was not really expecting things to work out in the end like they did, but was very happy with it.
I love the characters, Benway does a great job of making them all unique and relatable.

This was- BEAUTIFUL. STUNNING. EMOTIONAL. I am in love. If you love This is us or if you love well written books with complex characters and a focus on family you should read this book.
