“I'm gonna party, see how intoxicated I can get and how many rules I can flaunt. That's my motto.”

TK-421 Haven‘t seen you on Litsy for a few weeks so thought I‘d say hi 👋 7mo
LiterRohde @TK-421 Thanks. I‘ve been feeling really overwhelmed lately. It‘s all I can do to go to work, come home, maybe eat a little, and go to bed. It sucks. I just feel so weighed down and I‘m not sure how to get back. Anyway, TMI. Thanks for thinking of me. 7mo
TK-421 Sorry to hear you‘re having such a rough time right now. It sucks when the little things sap so much energy that you don‘t have enough left to do anything more than the basics. And don‘t worry, it‘s not tmi. It‘s ok to not be ok. Hope things improve for you soon! Sending 🤗((hugs)) 7mo

Cinfhen Have u read this book???? Doesn‘t seem like an easy read 8mo
diovival @Cinfhen Never! My house is filled with books I haven't read yet and I keep adding more to the mountain. 8mo
diovival @Cinfhen This one used to be my uncle's book. He died young and I didn't get a chance to know him. I have a few of his books. From the stories I've heard of him and the books passed on to me, I gather he was a badass. 8mo
Cinfhen Sorry you never had the chance to know your uncle but how cool to have inherited his books❤️ 8mo

There‘s no #dancingqueen like Scarlett O‘Hara. She‘s gonna dance that reel, widow‘s weeds and all.

It is just an exquisite portrait of a society where pretentiousness, fake emotion, fake culture are the norm. A wonderful satirical view of a class of people that are still very much alive today. Human nature doesn't change that much.
Nothing to do with the song except the 👸

LeahBergen Love this book! 💕 8mo
Reviewsbylola I just read Mapp & Lucia. Five stars!!! Can‘t wait to read the rest of the series. 8mo

When I hear #DancingQueen I remember when gay marriage was finally legalized 😊 my mom had always told me stories about going to this gay bar up North called the Bar Complex. To celebrate the day she played all the songs she could remember hearing the time she spent there, and this was one of them. #MarchIntoThe70s @Lizpixie @Cinfhen

"Rich man, poor man, come away.
Come to dance the Macabray.
Time to work and time to play,
Time to dance the Macabray.
One and all will hear and stay
Come and dance the Macabray.
Step and turn, and walk and stay,
Now we dance the Macabray."

Hiding My Candy | The lady Chablis, Theodore Bouloukos
post image

#DancingQueen | The Lady Chablis didn‘t consider herself a drag queen, but more accurately, a transgendered night club star. She was best known for her role in John Berendt‘s book Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and also played herself in the film. I haven‘t read this memoir yet, but I want to.

Maude I read it years ago and remember really liking it, I hope you do too :) 8mo
