We do not care that we laughed so hard at the podcast we listened to on our walk, that the neighbors must think we‘re crazy. #wdncw

I got behind so here‘s yesterday‘s #Dream prompt. I often dream of food so these 5 books on my shelves are either foodie novels or cookbooks. 🍽️

Kind of a random book haul today, but I feel like I hit the jackpot with these finds! I especially love finding stories from my childhood that I loved. My mom used to subscribe to indie children's book publishers who would mail us books every month and I also had a lot of hand-me-down books from my sister, so finding any of those titles again is super fun. 🤍

TiredLibrarian I had that edition of Perrault's Fairy Tales; brings back memories! 9mo
Booksblanketsandahotbeverage Imogene‘s Antlers reminds me of Reading Rainbow ❤️ 9mo
Zuhkeeyah I loved The Shadow of the Gods! Highly recommend the entire trilogy 9mo

Todays episode of The Checkout Stack features jukebox heroines - books of women in the music industry. Tune in for a great set of recommendations and to learn a little bit about our guest librarians self designated title of book club therapist wherever you listen to podcasts!

What a delightful book! It‘s a story of friendship and life choices, with wonderfully drawn characters. The main characters are food and wine bloggers, and now that I‘m blogging, I appreciate the community that these women create. As with pretty much everything this author writes, food is integral to the story; maybe that‘s why I like her books so much. Definitely recommend. FYI, it‘s tomato bisque with Parmesan croutons.

This has been on my Kindle for a while. I‘ve liked everything I‘ve read by this author, and I thought this looked appetizing for my next read.

A new episode of The Checkout Stack featuring @monalyisha and Megan Tully from the Ames Free Library in MA just dropped this morning. Tune in for a great set of book recommendations and a bonus cozy TV show which I enjoyed while recovering from a cold.

thecheckoutstack Thanks so much for listening @BookmarkTavern! 11mo
Chelsea.Poole Just finished the episode. Really enjoyed hearing @monalyisha and all the recs. This may just be my favorite new podcast!?! (I don‘t listen to podcasts but maybe I do now!) 11mo
monalyisha Aww, thanks @Chelsea.Poole & @BookmarkTavern! I don‘t typically listen to podcasts either but you know I think this topic is worth it…and I love Maria‘s passion! I *do* listen to Katherine May‘s podcast occasionally (because of course I do). And I managed to get into “60 Songs That Explain the 90‘s” for a while (the episode about Mazzy Star was my personal fave). 11mo

#Two4Tuesday @TheSpineView

1) I might use either of my teen-age nicknames, both based on fictional characters: Esme and/or Molly

2) tagged - though most people in Germany pronounce my name "Yoollya" ??

TheSpineView Interesting way to pronounce your name. Thanks for playing! 1y
julesG @TheSpineView A "J" is pronounced like a "Y" (as in you, young, yeah) in German, I don't mind that so much. But even as a native speaker of German I still don't understand why the first syllable is shortened and the "I+A" turns into "Y+A" in most mouths, especially after I've pronounced my name as "YouLeeAh" (exaggeration). Maybe I should change my first name after all. ?? 1y
