I had a mountain of grading to do tonight when my reluctant reader came into my office wanting to sit and read to me all 600+ names of the animals in this (ADORABLY illustrated!) book. The choice was clear. 🤷‍♀️

A sweet, gentle story about a fox walking through the forest at night, on her way home. It‘s a perfect bedtime story due to its slow pace and gentle scenes. The illustrations add to the quiet feel of the book.

I highly recommend reading some children‘s books during this difficult time. It really helps with emotional regulation. Many children‘s books are designed for that very purpose.

Read to Henry

Big thumbs up from the 9 year old as we finished up The One & Only series. She loved the continuation of Ivan‘s story as he became a dad. I read her the author‘s note after we finished & it mentioned about book bans. My daughter asked what book bans were.
