pickI liked this old, black folk tale adapted for children from a series of oral folktales collected by Zora Neale Hurston. The illustrations are perfectly suited to the story. I would love to track down and listen to the original collected by Hurston.

I've had this for over 10 years and love going through it at this time of year also great is The Penguin Dictionary of American Folklore 📚❤️
